ROH Final Battle 2025
Thoughts & Predictions

Coming up on Friday, from Cleveland, Ohio, is Ring of Honor’s Final Battle 2025 PPV. So, are you ready for a few predictions? Let’s roll.

AEW National Championship
Ricochet (c) vs. Dalton Castle.

I would love to see Dalton Castle score the upset here and lay claim to the new AEW National Championship title, but let’s get real. It’s Ricochet’s first title defense, and he’s not losing the belt this quickly.

Winner and STILL AEW National Champion: Ricochet.

Pure Wrestling Rules tournament final match for the inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Championship
Deanno Purrazzo versus Billie Starkz

Injuries to Queen Aminata and a surprise win over Yuka Sakazaki have brought us to this point. Both women have impressive resumes, but neither woman impresses me much. So, who gets to wear a belt with no meaning that makes no sense? Purrazzo is a former TNA Knockouts Champion and has more street cred. Let’s go with her.

Winner and NEW ROH Pure Women’s Champion: Deonna Purrazzo.

ROH Women’s World Championship[
Athena (c) vs. Persephone.

I just realized that both of these women are named after figures from Greek mythology. Athena, of course, after the Greek goddess of Wisdom, and Persephone, after the daughter of Demeter and wife of Hades, Lord of the Underworld. Way cool. I guess that means we’ll get a match of mythical proportions. Maybe JBL will pop up and make an appearance, too. After all, he claimed to be a wrestling god. I don’t care if Zeus himself gets involved. We’re not seeing a title switch here.

Winner and STILL ROH Women’s Champion: Athena.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship
Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, and Capt. Shawn Dean) (c) vs. SkyFlight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, and Darius Martin).

Didn’t Scorpio Sky get injured last week on Collision? I seem to remember seeing that mentioned somewhere. Look for Shane Taylor Promotions to retain their titles.

Winners and STILL ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions: Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, and Capt. Shawn Dean).

Survival of the Fittest: ROH World Championship
Bandido (c) vs. Blake Christian vs. The Beast Mortos vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Komander vs. Hechicero.

I’d love to see Sammy wearing singles gold again, but he’s not what he used to be. Bandido is probably the favorite here to retain, but I see a beast lurking and waiting to pounce. Let’s go with that.

Winner and NEW ROH World Champion: The Beast Mortos.

ROH Women’s World Television Championship
Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Red Velvet.

Hello, Red Velvet. It’s nice of you to stop by and visit. Mercedes isn’t losing any of her trophies on this night.

Winner and STILL ROH Women’s Television Champion: Mercedes Moné.

Vacant ROH World Tag Team Championship
La Facción Ingobernable (Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos) vs. Tommy Billington and Adam Priest.

Sammy and Mortos will be wrestling twice, both in this match and the Survival of the Fittest main event, where they’ll be competing against each other. That gives them an instant excuse for losing this match.

Winners and NEW ROH Tag Team Champions: Tommy Billington and Adam Priest.

30-Minute Iron Man Match
Lee Moriarty vs. Nigel McGuinness.

Never bet against a man named Nigel.

Winner: Nigel McGuinness.

And there you go. So, what do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let me know what you think. And with that, I’m out of here. Stay well, my friends, and I’ll see you at the matches.

UPDATE: Just hours before the already match-heavy show, Ring of Honor has added the following to tonight’s Final Battle PPV. Quick predictions for the additional matches.

Ace Austin vs. Lee Johnson.

ROH remembered that Ace Austin was part of their roster. Yay for them. Johnson is a talented dude, but Austin is winning this one.

Winner: Ace Austin

The Death Riders’ Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia vs. Grizzled Young Veterans.

The Death Riders are considered stars, even Yuta and Garcia. The GYV tandem is just there.

Winners: The Death Riders’ Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia

Zayda Steel vs. Leila Grey.

Zayda Steel is the hot new star freshly stolen from NXT. I can’t even remember who Leila Grey is.

Winner: Zayda Steel.

And there you go. Hopefully, ROH won’t add any more matches to the show. We’re at twelve matches already. Well, there’s the update. Thanks for reading.
