Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

John Cena Sr., John Cena’s father, says that Cena’s final opponent should be either Chris Jericho, Edge, Kurt Angle, or JBL. Thoughts?

It’s a nice list, but there are a few problems. Jericho is 55 years old and currently in contract limbo. Edge is under contract to AEW. Kurt Angle has physical issues and isn’t capable of having a quality match anymore. And JBL’s last match was at WrestleMania 25. Better to let WWE decide.

Jim Ross says Vince McMahon will definitely return to WWE for John Cena’s final match on Dec 13. Do you think Vince will be there?

I doubt he’ll be on camera, but I do expect Vince to be there, backstage, for this epic event.

Triple H says Roman Reigns has transcended to a point of being bigger than a championship. Thoughts?

Some wrestlers were like that. Roddy Piper, Scott Hall, Brock Lesnar, and Steve Austin all come to mind. They’re over, and belts be damned. Has Roman joined that elite crowd? I would agree and say yes.

Tony Khan says that he’s had offers for ROH TV, but considering he got half a billion dollars for AEW, he wants to make sure he gets the appropriate media rights. Thoughts?

What Tony doesn’t seem to realize is that ROH isn’t AEW, and the wrestling landscape has changed quite a bit, even over the past three to four years. He should take what he can get and use incentives to increase the television rights deal over time. Unless something extreme happens, he’s not going to get a great deal right off the bat for ROH. It just isn’t happening.

Brie Bella says that she’d be interested in a return to the ring, but only if she were aligned with her sister, Nikki. Thoughts?

Nikki’s return has been a bust so far, but a tag team deal with Brie, who was always the better performer in my opinion, might work better. If we had a Bella Twins reunion, I might be interested. Nikki or Brie as singles it does nothing for me.

Who would you prefer to face Cena in his last match? LA Knight or Gunther?

I’ve already said it many times. Gunther as the last opponent and the winner, the man who retired John Cena.

What was your favorite WCW show? Main Event, WCW Saturday Night, Monday Nitro, or Thunder?

Nitro was hit or miss, but I watched it more than any other WCW show, just for the sake of convenience. My favorite, though, was always WCW Saturday Night.

Bron Breakker is reportedly the leading candidate within WWE creative to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Thoughts?

Breakker would be a good choice, but I’m sure plans can and will change a hundred times between now and The Rumble. Breakker is a future Mania main-eventer for sure and a star to keep an eye on.

Would you want to see Donald Trump appear at John Cena’s last match?

It would be a big moment, and make all sorts of news and headlines, but I’d rather see the night focused on Cena and his last match, rather than the President sitting in the audience. From a P.R. point of view, it’d be great, but it would be a huge distraction for the fans and the wrestlers. Hopefully, the President will just record a message and watch from the comfort of his living room at the White House.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352. I’ll see you at the matches.
