Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
WWE is reportedly planning a streamlined four-match card for the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Thoughts?
I hope that plans change and they get at least six matches on this card. Four just doesn’t feel right to me.
Should AEW or WWE bring back the Scaffold Matches?
Nope. Most of the AEW talents like to take unnecessary risks far too often, and a match like this is low return and just takes too many chances. And to be honest, once the novelty wears off, these matches tend to suck.
Now that Netflix has purchased Warner Bros, what is the next logical step for AEW in your opinion?
The new Netflix deal with Warner won’t affect TBS or TNT, so AEW should be safe for a while. The simulcast on HBO-Max will probably end, but that’s not a big deal. AEW should just ride it out, try to get their ratings up, and ride out their current contracts.
Jade Cargill is allegedly making moves to portray Storm in the MCU. Thoughts?
She absolutely has the look and the body. I think she’d be excellent in that role.
Dave Meltzer claims that TNA is looking to book AJ Styles for its debut show on AMC. Thoughts?
This rumor has been floating around for a while, and I’ve heard that AJ wants to do it. So if AJ wants it, and TNA wants it, it’ll probably happen. Given all the recent back and forth between TNA and NXT, I don’t see any reason why WWE would prevent this from happening.
Would you tune in to a Joe Rogan interview with Vince McMahon?
Absolutely. That would make for some fascinating listening.
Do you think WWE should have officially acknowledged Umaga’s death?
I didn’t know that they hadn’t, but that was forever ago. It’s too late to worry about it now, and I’m sure that WWE had their reasons.
Should Tessa Blanchard get another shot in the WWE?
Tessa is an amazing wrestler, and I would love to see her and Charlotte Flair go a few rounds. So, that would be a yes.
Brock and CW Anderson are through with MLW and made their debut in TNA at Final Resolution. Thoughts?
It’s good to see Brock and CW back in the major leagues again. I’d love to see Brock eventually reunite with Lexis King. I’m thinking that this is the start of something big for the modern-day inclination of The Andersons. And just for fun, can you imagine a faction of Brock Anderson, Lexis King, Charlotte Flair, and Tessa Blanchard? We’re now one step closer to that being a reality. Bring in Arn and Tully as their mentors. Forget about the YEET. Four fingers in the air would suffice quite nicely.
Gunther is facing John Cena in his final match. Who’s winning? Thoughts?
I’ve been calling it for quite a while now. The legend is retiring, and the era of the Ring General is beginning. Gunther wins.
