Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Nick Khan: I’ve never searched my name on the internet. I don’t care about that. I care about ratings, revenue, and relevancy. Thoughts?
Who hasn’t googled their own name at least once? I don’t believe that. That Khan only cares about ratings, revenue, and relevancy. That part, I easily believe. He proves that with every commercial, rate increase, and slam on the WWE fans.
Bully Ray doesn’t believe John Cena should end his career at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and feels that a fitting finale should take place at WrestleMania. Thoughts?
I agree that Mania would be a bigger event and have more importance in the overall picture of things, but Cena made the call, wants to wrap it all up in one calendar year, and probably has Hollywood commitments in April of next year. It’s Cena’s call, and he’s doing what he wants, as he should.
Do you think AEW can survive another TV deal cycle if Warner Bros Discovery falls apart?
It’s getting more and more difficult. That’s for sure.
Do you think AEW can deliver a successful all-women’s pay-per-view? Would you watch it?
I don’t think they have enough top-tier women on the AEW roster for a full PPV, especially given how many matches Tony likes to stack on the cards. It wouldn’t come across well in my opinion, and no, I probably wouldn’t watch.
Do you think TNA is the right home for The Righteous, or should they have waited for another shot at WWE?
In TNA, they can prove themselves and rebuild their image that the AEW run destroyed. And if all goes well with TNA, then NXT or WWE can be the next step for their careers. Baby steps.
Who do you think becomes a world champion first, Je’Von Evans or Ricochet?
WWE has put the rocket on Evan’s back for sure. I can easily see him as the NXT Champion within the next year or so. Ricochet? He’s mid-card at best, and although I may be wrong, I just don’t see him as the AEW World Champion anytime soon.
Did you enjoy John Cena’s ‘The Last Time Is Now’ tournament?
It was decent, and we had some good matches, especially Gunther versus Solo Sikoa. I won’t say it was great, but it had some good moments and was well done.
YES or NO. Should John Cena TAP OUT to Gunther next Saturday?
I would say yes, he should.
Oba Femi defeated Ricky Saints and is the new NXT Champion. Thoughts?
I’m surprised, but it just shows how much faith WWE has in Femi, and it’s well deserved. I hate it for Saints, but he’ll have that title back soon enough, while Femi moves over to the main roster.
Michelle McCool says that she has one WWE match left in her. Would you like to see McCool return to the WWE ring?
Of course she does. And it should be at WrestleMania, fighting for a World Championship, right? I don’t want to see her wrestle, or co-host the podcast with her husband, or work on the LFG show. Michelle needs to take a lesson from former WWE Diva Sable and just vanish already. The more I see and hear of her, the more I dislike her. Just go away already.
Do you want to see The Good Brothers back for AJ Styles’ farewell tour?
They are all friends and have been aligned in so many ways, so many times, it kind of makes sense if we do see Gallows and Anderson as part of AJ’s final year. Sure, bring them back.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
