Jim Cornette and right-wing activist Jack Posobiec are feuding on X. Thoughts?

Jim made some comments about Mick Foley and President Trump, as he often does, and Posobiec caught wind of those comments. And the personal insults are flying hot and heavy. I’m watching, popcorn in hand, and just enjoying the show. Corny and the Midnight Express are my favorite tag team of all time, and Jim is a true legend and wrestling historian. But when it comes to politics and Donald Trump, Jim isbeyond reason and truly suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Posobiec is a loyal Trump supporter and a very smart guy. I don’t want to take sides, so I’m just watching the show.

Thea Hail defeated Blake Monroe on WWE NXT to capture the NXT Women’s North American Championship. This title switch was not supposed to happen. Thoughts?

Accidents happen. Monroe was out of breath and couldn’t kick out in time. Hail isn’t experienced enough to realize what was happening and held on for a second too long. And the referees are told to count it as it’s real. So, we get a title switch. A little controversy is good sometimes, and it’ll be interesting to see how WWE rolls with the change and improvises plans. I guess this means that NXT is must-see TV because you never know what might happen. Hell, even they don’t know sometimes.

What do you think has been the WORST WWE booking call of 2025?

Cena’s heel turn and the appearance/disappearance of The Rock and Travis Scott. There is no doubt in my mind about that.

Penta hasn’t been medically cleared to team with brother Rey Fenix at AAA Guerrera de Titanes on Saturday against Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano, so he’s being replaced in the match by Rey Mysterio. Thoughts?

If they need a replacement, Rey is the perfect choice. That should be an excellent match.

Raquel Rodriguez has been placed in concussion protocol by WWE after suffering a huge knot on her head after the attack by Nikki Bella. Thoughts?

That was a nasty knot on her head, and WWE was right to make sure that Raquel was okay. As of this writing, Saturday morning, Raquel has been cleared and won’t miss any time. Better safe than sorry.

Do you agree with Vince Russo that WWE completely dropped the ball with Cena’s farewell, or do you think Triple H booked it the right way?

I think that the retirement run was hit-and-miss. There were some good points, like the matches with CM Punk, the title switches with Cody, and the work with Dominik. And there was some bad stuff, like the heel turn, the Final Boss crap, etc. Both men are correct to a point.

Is “Timeless” Toni Storm the most compelling character in AEW right now?

Storm is a gem among a pile of fake glass. She is truly one of the most appealing characters in AEW these days.

Do you think Dave Meltzer’s star ratings actually help talent grow?

The only thing they help grow is Uncle Dave’s ego, as he believes that his ratings actually matter. Newsflash. He’s just another guy with an opinion. His ratings? Just another opinion among many. Nothing more.

Do you think AEW should start negotiating with other media partners now, or ride out the WBD deal and hope for stability?

Are they contractually able to talk to anyone else? While under contract to WBD, as they are now, I doubt they can negotiate with anyone else without WBD’s permission. They probably should, but I don’t think they legally can.

Do you think Travis Scott ever had a real shot in WWE, or was this never going to work from the start?

If Scott had been willing to put in the time, work, and effort, a run in WWE may have worked out. They were behind him, but he didn’t have the drive, ambition, or ability to uphold his end of the deal. He wasn’t willing to do his part, and thus, it all quickly fell apart.
