Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
MJF is the new AEW World Champion? Thoughts?
I was hoping that AEW would keep the belt on Samoa Joe for a while and give us a feud with Joe and MJF, but they decided to rush things and immediately put the belt on Max instead of having him chase the title. It is what it is. Congratulations MJF.
Jon Moxley won the Continental Classic and now appears to be a babyface. Thoughts?
I’m not sure how all of this is supposed to work out and what Moxley did to become a babyface, but it’s AEW so why ask why? Congratulations, Mox.
Looking for your thoughts on World’s End, thumbs up, thumbs down, or thumbs in the middle, along with best and worst match.
It was seemingly a wild show, but I didn’t watch. I did watch a few clips on YouTube, and the Mixed Nuts match made me laugh, but from what I have seen, I wasn’t impressed.
AEW has never had a PPV headlined by a Women’s match. Thoughts?
That stat surprised me. I would have thought that a promotion like AEW, which is known for its woke content, would have had a good mixture of matches as main events, but I guess not. The more you know.
Hyan and Maya World are All Elite. Thoughts?
These two ladies stepped up and wrestled a two-minute match on television when the original participants walked out. And they got a deal and contracts as a result. Good for Hyan and Maya World.
Do you think Randy Orton should get a full-blown retirement tour when that time comes?
A good retirement match, maybe, or a couple of matches building towards that match would be good, but a full year-long tour would be overkill, especially since we’ve just gotten over the Cena thing.
What do you think about Bret Hart’s claim that Hulk Hogan buried him in WCW week after week?
During his two years in WCW, Bret was the World Champion twice, the United States Champion, and was co-holder of the World Team Championship with Bill Goldberg. That doesn’t sound like beingburied to me.
Whatever happened to Candice Michelle? Does she still wrestle?
Candice wrestled her last match in 2008, and is now retired, does the occasional acting role, and is married to a chiropractor in Los Angeles, the mother of three children.
Gail Kim recently revealed that she was approached by WWE about a return to the company, but declined. Thoughts?
Gail left WWE originally on bad terms, and while time heals all wounds, I guess that not enough time has passed. Gail has a good life outside of wrestling, and the offer obviously wasn’t good enough. Keep making those offers, WWE. Eventually, Gail may say yes, or maybe not. Only time will tell.
