I’ve been home from the hospital for less than 24 hours and I’m ready to leave again and go back. I hate this damn house sometimes. But let’s see if I can find some relief from the BS and be productive at the same time. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your Guiding Light & Party Host, Doug. Let’s do this.

So AEW and Jinder Mahal versus Hook right?

If Tony Khan is smart, that would make sense to me. But we’re talking about AEW so who knows for sure.

Linda McMahon was spotted visiting at WrestleMania 40. Should WWE bring Linda back to TV and if so, in what role?

WWE doesn’t need Linda McMahon and she’s probably happy being retired, living in Florida, playing politics, and spending Vince’s money. If they ever divorce, she gets half, right? The only person named McMahon I could ever see making a return to WWE in any official capacity would be Stephanie. Linda might make the occasional appearance to rub it in Vince’s face and show support for her son-in-law, but that would be it.

Does Linda McMahon belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

As the co-founder of WWE and former President, plus her on-air roles, I would say yes. Linda is certainly deserving of some kudos acknowledging her part in the success of WWE.

CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and Ace Steele w/ Larry versus The Young Bucks and Jack Perry in a Chicago Street Fight. Who wins?

I’d love to see Larry bite Matt Jackson. Punk, Omega, and Steele would win.

The Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane) versus The High Flyers (Jim Brunzell & Greg Gagne). Who wins?

Brunzell and Gagne were probably one of the best tag teams of the late 70s and were far ahead of their time with the high-flying moves. Brunzell’s dropkick was a thing of beauty. And we all know how incredible the Jim Cornette-managed team of Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan was inside that ring. This would be a damn good match. And the winners? The Midnight Express. Jim Cornette’s mama wouldn’t have it any other way.

On the A&E Special, WWE Treasures, or whatever it’s called, what lost items would you like to see WWE try and find?

How about the Manilla folder that Baby Doll and Larry Zbyszko had that they were allegedly going to use to blackmail Dusty Rhodes? Maybe the Continental Championship title belt that Adrian Street painted pink? Some of the old booking sheets from Ole Anderson when he was booking both Crockett and Georgia at the same time would be an interesting read. And what about Vince McMahon’s powder blue tuxedo he wore while working as an announcer for the WWWF? All of those items would make for some interesting discussions.

On a scale of 1-10, how sad are you that Goldberg might never wrestle again?

I’m so sad, I can barely contain myself. Maybe a one? Maybe?

A WCW Hall of Fame. Who would you put in there? I want to know the wrestler, office, announcer, manager, and tag team. Who would you induct?

WCW had a Hall of Fame and had several amazing talents inducted over the period from 1993 to 1005. The inductees are Lou Thesz, Verne Gagne, Mr. Wrestling II, Eddie Graham, Harley Race, Ernie Ladd, The Crusher, Dick the Bruiser, Ole Anderson, The Masked Assassin, Wahoo McDaniel, Dusty Rhodes, Antonio Inoki, Angelo Poffo, John Studd, Terry Funk, and Gordon Solie. So I would add new names to the already prestigious list if I had the honor. It would be Ric Flair as the wrestler, Eric Bischoff for Office, Bob Caudle as the Announcer, Number One Paul Jones as the Manager, and The Midnight Express as the tag team.

It’s been two weeks since he’s Champion. How are you feeling Codynation?

So far, so good. No complaints.

Thoughts on early favorites for the King and Queen of the Ring?

For the King of the Ring, I’d like to see The Ring General, Gunther, get the honors. As for the Queen of the Ring, Chelsea Green would be my pick.

And there you go. I’m feeling better. Sitting and writing for a while as I listen to the soundtrack from the movie ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ works wonders. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll be back soon and that is all the people need to know. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
