And here we go again. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your party host and Guiding Light, Doug. You have questions and I have the answers. Let’s roll.

Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee) has been released by the WWE. Thoughts?

This majorly sucks and I feel bad for Grimes. He’s a talented guy and I don’t get this one. Given the reception to the video he made announcing his release, I don’t think he’ll be out of work for long. Grimes is a charismatic guy and in my opinion, WWE dropped the ball here and made a mistake.

Chad Gable needs to lose the Alpha Academy and add the Creed Brothers. Thoughts?

As of RAW this past week, it seems that Gable has done just that, trashing Otis, Tozawa, and Dupri to their faces and going all A-hole on his former proteges. I don’t know about the Creed Brothers being aligned with Gable, but that sounds pretty good and it could be a modern-day version of Team Angle. I like the idea.

Becky Lynch is the new WWE Women’s Champion. Thoughts?

I thought Becky was taking some time off, but if WWE needed a filler champion while Rhea is out of action, few women would do better. I would have loved to see Chelsea Green win the title, but in the big picture of things, Becky was the right choice.

Dave Meltzer on Giovanni Vinci’s future after being kicked out of Imperium on WWE Raw: “I tell you what, I do not like Vinci’s chances at all out of this Imperium split. He might be gone, and if he’s not he’ll get his run with Kaiser and I don’t know what he can do after that.” Thoughts?

Even a broken clock is right twice a day and on this, I hate to admit it, but Meltzer is probably right. Unless Vinci is sent to NXT for some major repackaging, this is probably a last hurrah at best. Too bad because the dude is a solid worker.

WWE has released Von Wagner. Thoughts?

Who? I had forgotten that he was even a part of NXT. He’s a talented guy with some good skills, but he just seems uncomfortable when on television. He has the in-ring talent, but when he talks, it just seems forced and awkward. I think he just needs experience and seasoning. Hopefully, he’ll find the missing tools and be back one day.

Cody Rhodes will be appearing in the reboot of the Naked Gun movie. Thoughts?

I didn’t even know that there was going to be a reboot of the Naked Gun movie. Can a movie like that even still be made in today’s woken society? Someone will be offended or the good stuff will be removed and the movie will suck. But all of that doesn’t matter. Congratulations to Cody for what could be a groundbreaking development in establishing a movie career.

Jacob Fatu is expected to make his WWE debut within the next week. Thoughts?

I hope this rumor is true. Fatu is the real deal and very impressive and when he’s added to the WWE roster, especially as part of the Bloodline, it should be incredible. This dude has skills.

What happened to Ricky Starks in AEW? He was getting the big push and was the tag team champion and now, he’s vanished.

Starks was backstage at WrestleMania 40 to support his friend and mentor Cody Rhodes. But so far as his AEW status goes, Starks hasn’t been on AEW Television since February. I haven’t heard of any injuries so I’m guessing he’s just waiting around backstage for Tony Khan and AEW to remember he’s there and use him again.

Ken Patera & John Studd versus Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody. Who wins?

Patera and Studd were Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions, and I was fortunate enough to see both men, wrestling in singles action and as a team, many times while growing up. Those were two big men. As for Brody and Hansen, their reputations speak for themselves. This would be a brawl and chaos as a match. I think Brody and Hansen would come out on top.

NXT Manager Robert Stone, formerly known as Robbie E in TNA, is said to be transitioning from an on-air role as a manager to a Producer for NXT. Thoughts?

Stone is keeping himself in a job, transitioning from a role that seems to be dying to a different role with the company with a more certain future. Good for him. That sounds like good sense to keep himself important and relevant.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for tiny little Irish dudes under the ring and I’ll see you at the matches.
