It’s the only wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions and I have the answers. I’m your party host and Guiding Light, Doug, and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.

As it is at the moment, which team should take the belts off the Young Bucks?

It’s hard to make a choice when we’re not sure how the attack on Tony Khan by the Young Bucks will be handled, but in the perfect world, I’ll stick with the best team currently in AEW, and that would be FTR.

A lot of people are bored with the current WWE Draft format. What would you do to make it more exciting?

I seem to remember when the Draft had a randomized selection process where the picks were computer-generated with little human interaction involved in the process. Or maybe that was just a dream, but going back to that process would be more interesting than what we have now. Plus maybe having matches between stars from RAW and Smackdown where the winner’s brand gets three picks to the losing brand’s one selection. That would allow for some great matches that have consequences as to who wins and loses, which is never a bad thing.

What are your thoughts on WWE adding 1 or 2 mid-card women’s championships? 1 would be for Raw & 1 for Smackdown.

I think I addressed this a few days ago, but my answer remains the same. No more titles, be it for the women, the mid-card, or anything else. WWE has enough belts floating around right now as it is.

Who would be a bigger troll to the fans if they won the next MITB briefcase? Logan Paul or Dirty Dom?

Either would be an excellent choice and would set the fans off with contempt and anger. My personal choice would be Dominik.

Top 3 things you would do immediately if you were given the keys to AEW today?

Clean house of the talents that don’t belong there, don’t know what they’re doing, don’t show growth potential, and consistently cause problems. Hire an experienced and competent booker who knows how to tell stories and present good wrestling matches instead of randomly thrown-together matches with no purpose. Finally, pick out who I want to be the main focus of the company and push them strongly and consistently with a steady presence on television rather than having them vanish for months at a time with no explanation or reason, which destroys momentum. Keep them on the air and strong as needed.

Aside from leaving, what does Chris Jericho need to do when dropping the title? Why is the answer a Hair vs. Hair match with Hook?

A hair versus hair match with Hook? I like that idea. And so long as Hook wins, I’d be thoroughly behind seeing that happen.

Do you think King of the Ring would be the best way to showcase Dragunov on the main roster, possibly with a final against Gunther?

I haven’t given it much thought, but that’s an idea that works as well as anything else. Book it, Triple H.

When RAW moves to Netflix, do you think WWE will negotiate down to a 2hr show?

I hope so because three hours is a long show, regardless of how good it is. But to be honest, Netflix is paying a tremendous amount of money for RAW and they may want to keep it as it is to justify the costs. I guess we’ll just have to watch and see.

Who can you see joining the ‘Wyatt 5’ if the faction becomes a reality? OR you would like to see join? I would love to see Joe Gacey for one!

It is Wyatt 5 or Wyatt 6? I was thinking it was the latter. My picks for the faction, at least at the start, would be Uncle Howdy, aka Bo Dallas, Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, and yes, Joe Gacy from NXT. Given his history with Bo, I’d also like to see WWE find a way to bring Joe Hennig back into the fold, but I doubt that would happen. I can hope though, right?

Who is your MVP so far in 2024 in all of wrestling?

It’s a tough call, but I think I’ll go with Drew McIntyre. He’s been on fire and killing it, with the build to WrestleMania, the feud with CM Punk, and now the bickering with Sheamus. Drew has stepped up his game and become one of the most consistent talents in WWE right now. Let’s go with him.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any comments are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Uber Goobers with the big hugs and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
