It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

How do you rate the Bloodline 2.0 and what matches would you wanna see in the future from this saga? Also your WrestleMania match from this storyline?

So far, so good. I like the way that Solo has taken control and continues to build a new Bloodline with the sons of Haku. Things should move to the next level when Jacob Fatu is added to the mix. I’d love to see the Brothers Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa team up against a reunited Usos. Roman versus Solo would be great as well. And my Mania match from this? The two matches I just mentioned would suffice for me.

Who do you think ends Toni Storm’s reign, and why is it Mariah May?

I had forgotten that Toni Storm was a champion. My bad! And Mariah May ending her reign? I’d rather see Kris Statlander, but Mariah May sounds okay to me.

If you could sit down for a meal and interview with anyone alive and anyone dead, which two would it be and what would you have?

Since this is a wrestling Q&A, I’ll use wrestlers as my answers. Anyone alive? Lisa “Ivory” Moretti would be my guest at dinner. As for anyone dead, the late Ole Anderson. As for what we would have, I’ll have steak and a baked potato.

If you could bring back any wrestler from the past in their prime Retired/Deceased into the current WWE roster who would you bring back?

The two names that immediately came to mind for me are Bill Eadie, aka The Masked Superstar/Demolition Ax, and Beautiful Bobby Eaton. Both men were so good, they would do very well in today’s WWE.

Is Daniel Bryan the greatest WWE baby face of all time? If not who is?

For some, Bryan may be the best babyface of all time, but for me personally, not really. He’s good, but Mick Foley, Rick Steamboat, currently CM Punk, and Hulk Hogan, during the red & gold years, could all arguably hold that title as well.

Favorite independent match ever?

In Durham, NC, back in the mid-90s, two men who I hold in high regard and consider among my best friends, Mike Youngblood and Ethan Storm, went at it. And while Michael had been wrestling for a couple of years, Storm was only in his second or third match of his career. And they kicked ass, had a great match, and blew the roof off of the building, stealing the show. Yes, I am biased, but I’ve seen hundreds of Indy matches over the past thirty years and that one remains my favorite.

Will the upcoming Uncle Howdy stuff get over?

It will be walking a fine line to be sure, but if WWE plays it smart, keeps it slow and steady, and allows the fans to make up their minds rather than trying to force things upon them, it should get over and work. I Bo-Lieve that Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy, and friends, have the tools and ability to make it all work.

Best storyline going on right now in AEW to you?

AEW does storylines? I guess I’ll go with the Young Bucks/New Elite heel MVP story and war against Tony Khan. If nothing else, it’s given me lots of material to write about.

Who’s party would you rather go to: Adam Rose or No Way Jose?

I’ll go to Adam Rose’s party. The rest of the Social Outcasts would probably be there, along with the Rosebuds, and it would be a wild time.

Do you miss Ronda Rousey in WWE?

I enjoyed Ronda in the WWE during her first run, but the second was totally forgettable and seemed like a waste of time for all parties involved. And given her attitude towards wrestling and the WWE since writing her book, I could care less if she ever returns. She’s a great athlete and has potential, but the attitude needs lots of work.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m gone. Take care and be good, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
