It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and it’s time for some catching up on questions about the world’s greatest sport. Are you ready? Let’s roll.

Today would have been the 57th Birthday of Chris Benoit. If what happened hadn’t happened, what do you think Benoit would be doing now?

If the insane tragedy hadn’t happened, he most likely would have remained working for WWE as an agent or trainer once his in-ring career ended. There probably would have been a WWE Hall of Fame Induction at some point for both Benoit and wife Nancy, better known to the world of pro wrestling as Woman. I could even picture Benoit, along with friends like Dean Malenko & Chavo Guerrero, opening a wrestling school. It’s all speculation of course, but I think if things had been different, the future for Benoit, Nancy, and Daniel would have been pretty good.

With both men in their prime in an arm wrestling contest, Mark Henry versus Ken Patera. Who would have won?

The World’s Strongest Man versus an Olympian who regularly competed in the World’s Strongest Man competition. I would hope the table would be reinforced. It’s a tough call, but I think Mark Henry would take this one.

Same question, but Scott “Flash” Norton versus Braun Strowman.

This one would be very competitive as both men competed in professional arm wrestling and were very successful in that career before becoming professional wrestlers. Braun is bigger with the leverage advantage, but Norton was just a true monster of a man and arm wrestling legend. This one would be so very close, but I’d give Norton the win.

Would AEW be better off if Tony Khan sold the company?

That would all depend upon who he sold it to, what kind of experience the new owners have, what their plans are for the company, and the changes that the prospective new owners tried to make. There are too many “What ifs” to give a yes or no answer. My preference would be that Tony keeps the company, but backs off a bit and hires an experienced booker and management team to run the company instead of trying to do everything himself.

Should AEW bring in and hire Alicia Fox for their women’s division?

I’ve always liked Alicia Fox and she’s better than the majority of the women currently on the AEW roster, is not in the ring than as being an entertaining character. I’d like to see AEW give her a chance.

What comes to mind when you think of TNA/Impact Wrestling?

My first thought is the six-sided ring. Luckily, that’s not used much anymore. Aside from that, I think of good stories, good wrestling matches, and being stuck on a cable channel that no one ever watches or sees.

What are Three things you hate about the modern era in Wrestling?
And what are Three things that you feel the modern era is doing better than the previous eras?

Three things that I hate are the lack of memorable characters, the lack of selling on the big moves, and how unimportant the titles seem to be for most of the wrestlers. Three things I prefer about the modern era are that the wrestlers are far better athletes who look like athletes, the money and general respect are so much better for the people who make pro wrestling their way of life, and the promotion of the business in general as what used to be confined to gyms and Armories is now selling out stadiums all over the world.

Peter Rosenberg gets on my nerves so badly. If WWE continues to have outside personalities as part of their Kickoff Show Panels, who would you suggest to replace Rosenberg?

Two names immediately come to mind who would be excellent in the outsider-looking role on WWE TV. How about Chris Van Vliet for one? He seems to have a good relationship with WWE and regularly interviews WWE talents for his show, Insight. And another? How about former WWE Announcer Lilian Garcia? She’s still on excellent terms with the WWE and while they don’t need any announcers, she was a huge part of WWE for over twenty-plus years, looks incredible, and her knowledge and insight would be great to hear.

Lance Storm, Billy Kidman & Kanyon versus The Young Bucks & Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Who wins?

If I can be serious for a moment, who betta than Kanyon? Or Kidman? Or Lance Storm? The New Elite wouldn’t stand a chance.

You’re casting an Addams Family movie and using pro wrestlers to fill all the major roles. Who would you cast in each role?

Humor me while I use wrestlers from the past and present for these roles. Just imagine each in their prime as a member of the Addams Family. Gomez would be played by Eddie Guerrero, while son Pugsley, an adult version, would be played by Dominik Mysterio. Morticia Addams would be Sonya Deville, while an adult version would be played by AJ Lee. Lurch would be played by Kane, while Grandmama would be portrayed by the late Mae Young. Uncle Fester? How about Kurt Angle? And Cousin Itt, by Hornswoggle. And there you go.

My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. I have three more of these to do tonight, as well as prediction columns for WWE King & Queen of the Ring and AEW Double or Nothing. Yes, it’s going to be a long night. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch for foreign objects or brass knucks if Logan Paul is around. I’ll be back with more stuff very shortly. See you at the matches.
