It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your resident Party Host and GuidingLight. And this is how we do it. Are you ready for some wrestling? Let’s do this.

Sonya Deville is back in WWE. Thoughts?

It’s good to see her back after being out for nearly 8 months with a torn ACL. Sonya is a good wrestler and an interesting character. As a former Authority Figure, she can be a nuisance to Nick Aldis and have some good matches in the process. Welcome back, Sonya.

Larry Zbyszko versus Dutch Mantell. Who wins?

I think I’ve answered this one before. It’d be a good match and a nice mid-card filler feud. I think that The Living Legend would be the one to walk out with the victory.

Why does AEW do title eliminator matches with the champion vs. a challenger? Shouldn’t it be challenger vs challenger with the winner getting a title shot? Also, what’s the point of it if the champion always wins?

I don’t get the idea of “Eliminator Matches” and it’s just nonsense booking for the sake of making a match. It’s AEW. ‘Nuff said!

Have the legacies of Jack Perry and the Young Buck been sealed, they’ll go down forever as the three guys who got their asses kicked by CM Punk?

That sounds about right to me. Three dudes that got their ass whooped by Punk. Sounds good to me.

Do you wanna see Liv dethrone Becky?

Honestly, I have no interest in Liv and would be more interested in seeing Becky wrestle Nia, Chelsea, or anyone else. This feud is just a placeholder to fill time until Rhea gets back from her injuries. I expect that Liv will eventually get the belt so when Rhea comes back, she has a target to aim for.

Should WWE introduce a Women’s Intercontinental Title? If so, then who should be the inaugural champion?

I don’t think WWE needs another title, be it for men, women, or whatever. But if WWE does go that route and there is a need for an inaugural champion, how about Jacey Jayne?

Who was the better team? The Fabulous Freebirds or The Midnight Express?

As great as the Freebirds were, and make no mistake about it, they were one of the best teams of their time, The Midnight Express, be it Bobby and Dennis or Bobby & Stan, were the better unit, at least in my opinion.

Which one are you more excited about this upcoming weekend? AEW Double or Nothing or WWE King and Queen of the Ring, from Saudi Arabia?

The WWE PLE from Saudi Arabia. I’m planning on getting up early to take care of business and being home to watch this show on Peacock, from start to finish. With Double or Nothing, I’ll just follow the results online.

Eddie Kingston is out of action until early 2025 due to a fracture, an ACL tear, and a torn meniscus. Thoughts?

Eddie did a sloppy spot in a match outside of AEW and got hurt with a dumb move. I’m sorry that he’s hurt, but shit happens. Best wishes to Kingston for a painless and speedy recovery.

Malakai Black was nailed with a “Bloodbath” on AEW Dynamite, courtesy of Adam Copeland. Does this mean a return of The Brood, possibly with Gangrel appearing at some point as well?

The House of Black versus a new Brood with Copeland and Gangrel? That would be pretty cool and maybe, somewhere down the line, they can add Christian to the mix for at least some part of the story. It’s lazy booking to use a gimmick from 25 years ago, but it’s still more interesting than most of the stuff currently on AEW so no complaints from me.

And there you go. One more in the books. I’ll be back soon with my predictions for WWE King & Queen of the Ring and AEW Double or Nothing. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
