It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your resident party host and Guiding Light. You have the questions and I have the answers. Let’s roll.

Now that their careers are winding down and their time as important players is probably over — who has had the best overall career, Matt or Jeff Hardy?

It would be Jeff Hardy. Except for a run with the WWECW title, if I remember correctly, Matt has been viewed as a popular mid-card wrestler for most of his career. Jeff has WWE Championship title reigns on his resume and, until he screws up because of his demons, is always considered one of the top guys, deserving or not. Both men have Hall of Fame-worthy careers, but Jeff is viewed as the bigger star.

Do you see The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase getting hired by WWE again?

No, I don’t. While Ted is probably under a Legend’s Deal and may pop up for a cameo at one of the special Anniversary events, I can’t see WWE using him for anything else. DiBiase is 70 years old and if I recall correctly, I believe he’s having problems with his memory. Also, the scandals with his sons, Mike and Ted Jr., have somewhat tarnished his reputation. I don’t WWE will use him much in the future if at all.

Would Vince Russo be able to help AEW get better?

I hate to admit it, but even Vince Russo would be better than the current AEW product and Tony Khan’s booking chaos. At least Russo knows how to tell stories, format television, and create characters. True, a lot of it was cringe-worthy, but Russo is still creative and far better than anything AEW has now. Tony should reach out and talk to Vince. It sure as hell couldn’t hurt.

Sting’s son, Steve Borden Jr., is training to be a professional wrestler and is currently staying with and training with Darby Allin. Thoughts?

I think it’s kind of cool that Sting’s son has caught the bug and wants to get involved in professional wrestling. Staying with and training with Darby Allin? I have my doubts about how well that will go, but I’m hoping that Darby is not his only trainer. Maybe Dustin Rhodes and the Nightmare Factory are involved as well, but let’s hope so. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops and if we end up with another second-generation superstar like Randy Orton or another David Flair. I hope he does well.

Vince Russo recently stated that he doesn’t feel Bayley doesn’t deserve her spot in WWE due to her poor promo skills. Thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with Bayley’s promo skills. Ding Dong. She’s as good on the mic as anyone, plus excellent in the ring. Bayley deserves her spot and Russo is off base on this one.

Chad Gable & The Creed Brothers versus Kurt Angle and The World’s Greatest TagTeam (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas). Who wins?

The modern-day version versus the classics. This would be an awesome match. My money would be on the man who won the gold medal with the broken neck and the World’s Greatest Tag Team. Angle, Haas, and Shelton win.

Mark Henry & Shawn Daivari versus Hornswoggle & The Great Khali. Who wins?

The joke here is that these four men used to all ride together in WWE. Can you imagine a cop pulling over the car and seeing these four, in character, sitting inside? That would be awesome. It sounds like a scene from the old Police Academy movies in the 80s. As for the match, I’ll go with Mark Henry introducing Hornswoggle to the Hall of Pain to get the win.

Steel Cage Match: Blackjack Mulligan versus Triple H. Who wins?

Is this the WWE traditional cage or the old chicken-wire cage that was so popular in the late 70s? This would be an interesting match. Mulligan is the big man, the brawler, who just keeps coming and doing the pound and ground. Triple H was known as the Cerebral Assassin and is more of a hit-and-run wrestler who waits for his shot and takes it. This match would either be amazing or would be a huge train wreck. I can’t see these two having any chemistry, so it’d probably be the latter. Triple H would get the win.

You’re the promoter and the fans want to see a bloodbath. What two wrestlers are you booking against each other?

Abdullah the Butcher versus The Sheik. That would ensure plenty of red. But for the more modern fans who want to see wrestlers of today busted open, I’d go with Jon Moxley versus Ric Flair. Both men would be bleeding before the introductions were even made and Flair may throw in a heart attack and pass out from drinking too much as a bonus.

Who’s next for Cody Rhodes now?

Now that Logan Paul has been dismissed, I would think that a good candidate for Cody’s next title defense would be Kevin Owens. I know they’re both good guys and on the same side right now, but with Randy Orton possibly injured after his match with Gunther from Saudi Arabia, Owens seems like the next guy on the roster who would ensure a great match and fun rivalry.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Logan Paul and the brass knuckles. I’ll see you at the matches.
