It’s the only wrestling Q&A that matters. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
Wes Brisco & Garrett Bischoff. Talented wrestlers or nepotism at its worst? Thoughts?
I enjoyed both wrestlers during their short runs in TNA, but I can see why some might think they only had jobs because of their more famous fathers. And truthfully, I think that’s part of the reason. Garrett was a decent wrestler and good character, but he didn’t have quite the charisma or energy of his father. As for Wes Brisco, he’s damn good in the ring, but exactly like his father, he has the charisma of a bar of soap. They’ve got talent, but like their peers in David Flair, Mike Graham, Shawn Stasiak, Greg Gagne, etc., the last names are bigger than what their actual in-ring skills could match. I liked them, but mid-card at best.
Since Miz & R-Truth, aka The Awesome Truth, beat Dom & JD on RAW, wouldn’t this put them in line for a tag team title shot, maybe at Elimination Chamber or even The Royal Rumble? I know I’d love to see it happen.
It makes sense that since Miz & Truth beat two members of the Judgment Day faction, the rest of the faction will want to avenge their associates. I loved the big pop that Miz & Truth got from the live RAW crowd and while I can’t see Truth, at this point in his career, being a singles champion, wearing a tag team title with Miz is certainly believable. Let’s hope that WWE and General Manager Adam Pearce agree. Awesome Truth versus Judgment Day at The Rumble or the Elimination Chamber? Sounds good to me.
Don Muraco versus The Masked Superstar. Who wins?
Both men are in their prime, this could be a main event for any promotion or territory in the United States. Both men were that good and the build and the promos would be excellent. As for the match itself, both men were mostly heels, but both were excellent baby faces as well. I think Masked Superstar would walk out with the win.
So the tease for Roman versus The Rock has officially begun with Rock’s comments about sitting at the Head of the Table last night on RAW. Thoughts?
I popped. It’s been a long time in coming and now, we’re finally getting some movement the idea for a match with Roman and The Rock. With the news a few weeks ago that officials in Australia wanted The Rock to come down under and be a part of The Elimination Chamber PPV, this makes sense as well. It’s a win-win for the WWE, the fans, The Rock, Roman, and Australia. I’ll admit it. I’m excited.
What does this do for Cody’s “story”?
I don’t think it affects it at all. We have four months before Wrestlemania, with two big PPVs taking place so that’s plenty of time for Rock and Roman to settle their issues, while Cody has Shinsuke Nakamura on his menu, plus the Royal Rumble. There is plenty of time to build stories for everyone before swerving back to the main focus for Cody and that’s finishing the “story”.
Jinder Mahal is back on RAW. Thoughts?
I’m glad to see Jinder back and I’m hoping that this leads to more appearances by the former WWE Champion. Even though he ended up being buried by the Rock, he looked great and had the crowd in his hands. I’d like to see him get a stronger push and be used to challenge either Logan Paul or Gunther for their titles. Hell put him with former 3MB teammate Drew McIntyre, and let’s see them go after the tag team titles and the Judgment Day. Jinder has all the tools and is a strong talent. Anytime he’s on TV, it’s a better day.
Ric Flair recently commented that WWE is “very political” right now and he liked the way that Vince McMahon ran the company. Thoughts?
Vince essentially had a dictatorship and Ric was one of his boys. No wonder Flair liked it better. From all reports, he and Triple H aren’t that close anymore and Triple H won’t bail him out as quickly as Vince would. I think that may have something to do with his opinion on the current regime. Flair has always been a master backstage politician, both in NWA/WCW and WWE, and never had any complaints when he was playing political games. Now that he’s not a top guy anymore, he doesn’t like it. Go figure.
Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan versus Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Who wins?
Alexa and Liv all the way. ‘Nuff said.
Since Joe won clean over MJF, name 3-4 wrestlers he needs to be booked with.
To cement his legacy and run as the AEW World Champion, I’d have him wrestle and defeat Jon Moxley, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, and Wardlow. Once the top guys are over, then bring in the younger talents and have him work his way through the roster.
Dave Meltzer speculated yesterday that Mercedes Mone and Deonna Purrazzo are reportedly expected to join AEW very soon. Thoughts?
Meltzer is also the one who said that CM Punk and WWE were never going to happen and that WWE has no interest in bringing Punk back to the company. So far as Mercedes Mone and Deonna Purrazzo are concerned, I’ll believe it when I see it happen, or the potential returns are confirmed by a legitimate and trustworthy website and not a moment earlier.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
