Maybe one day, I’ll be caught up. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your party host and Guiding Light, Doug. Let’s roll.

William Regal versus Logan Paul in a “Battle of the Punch” Brass Knuckles on a Pole match. Who wins?

Both men have excelled in the fine arts of being sneaky and using the brass knuckles as part of their repertoire. That’s for sure. Regal, in his prime, versus Logan Paul, who is far better than he has any right to be, would be an excellent match to witness. In a shoot, I think Regal might tie Paul up and take the win, but given who they are and their statuses on the roster during their careers, I think Paul would be booked to win.

It’s rumored that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin’s TNA contracts will be up within the month. Thoughts?

From what I understand, Shelley’s and Sabin’s contracts are due to expire on April 1st. If this is true and no new deals are reached, this will be a big loss for TNA, but they’ll be okay. TNA has a strong roster in place and while it’s been great to see Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have this resurgence of the past few months, they’re not irreplaceable. If Shelley and Sabin move on, so be it. Everyone will be okay.

Demolition or Hart Foundation?

I’d have to go with Demolition on this one.

Shane McMahon. Do you want to see him back on WWE television?

Not personally, no. I understand that Shane has his fans and his presence adds interest to the WWE product, but they don’t need him, and right now, with the Vince scandals being so featured in the media and the eyes of the fans, I doubt we’ll see anyone with the name McMahon on WWE television anytime soon.

Undertaker or Ric Flair?

For the duration of their careers and in-ring abilities, I’d have to go with The Nature Boy, Ric Flair. But if we’re only talking about the last ten or so years, and how they’ve conducted themselves since retiring, that would make it a different story. Ric’s antics and behavior these days, make me cringe and be ashamed of who he’s become.

According to Matt Koon, Self-Elected Sheriff of the IWC, “Yes, the Cornette podcast and his fanbase is incredibly toxic.” Thoughts? Is the Cornette podcast and its fans toxic?

I’m not sure what’s been up with Koon as of late, but he’s been out there a bit as of late with some of his comments and opinions, at least in my opinion. I’m a fan of Cornette and his podcasts. They’re informative and entertaining. I don’t agree with Cornette on his politics or all of the things he says, but I wouldn’t call him toxic in the slightest. He’s just right more often than not. Koon is wrong on this one.

Matt Hardy and their wife Reby were in the audience at RAW in Raleigh, NC. So, Matt is going back to WWE?

From what I understand, Matt’s contract has expired and he’s a free agent, but he and AEW are in negotiations. I think the visit to RAW is two things. It was less than an hour from Matt’s house so why not? It gives Matt a chance to be a fan and enjoy a show that is well put together and makes sense. Plus it generates news and gets people talking, keeping Matt’s name in the conversation and public eye. Right now, while he’s trying to get a new deal and make sure it’s the best deal possible, that’s an important thing. I could see Matt back in WWE with one last run if the AEW deal doesn’t work out. He’d probably make a great agent/trainer.

NXT wrestler Brooks Jensen was forced to apologize for wearing an Ole Anderson t-shirt on NXT television after “learning of Ole’s racist leanings”, etc. Thoughts?

I think this is one of the stupidest things I’ve seen all day. Anyone who knows Ole knows that he was an equal-opportunity offender and didn’t like anyone. They call Ole racist, but he was the only person who would give Thunderbolt Patterson work after T-Bolt burned bridges with most other promotions. People keep trying to apply 2024 values to wrestlers of the past. If Ole is to be avoided, what about racist Hulk Hogan, wife-beater Steve Austin, rapist Mike Tyson, pedophile Jerry Lawler, murderer Scott Hall, transphobic Rick Steiner, etc. Ole was a grouchy old bastard, but he was also a great wrestler, promo guy, trainer, and booker. If I had an Ole t-shirt to wear, I’d wear it proudly to represent what he meant to the world of pro wrestling and his legacy as a professional wrestler. If someone doesn’t like it, kiss my ass. And it’s too bad that Jensen isn’t able to do the same and had to give in to the woken crybaby hypocrites who complained.

The Mulkey Brothers versus The Young Bucks. Who wins?

The Bucks would win because they’re the executives and wouldn’t be booked to lose, but if I had the book, it’d the be rebirth of Mulkey-Mania.

Rikishi versus Dutch Mantell. Who wins?

Rikishi would win the match, but I don’t think that Dutch would take the stink face. I can hear him already in my mind. “That’s just not going to work for me, brother!” He’d take the pin, but after the match, I’d see Dutch using Shoe-Baby to hold Rikishi off while he exits the ring and flees to the back.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for crybaby fans trying to censor your t-shirts and I’ll see you at the matches.
