On Saturday afternoon, live from Philadelphia, PA, as a warm-up to Night One of Wrestlemania, it’s NXT Stand and Deliver. NXT gets to set the bar for the next two nights of Wrestlemania to attempt to follow. Are you ready for a few predictions? Let’s do this.

Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes.

NXT has been building this match for the longest time and it’s only appropriate that Trick & Carmelo are main eventing here. This should be one fantastic match and will be the swan song to send Hayes off to the main roster once and for all. I think that Trick needs to win here. It’s the best ending for all involved and makes the most sense. Let’s go with that.

Winner: Trick Williams.

NXT World Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Tony D’Angelo.

This will be an amazing match and I think that D’Angelo will take Dragunov to the limit and come just so close. But that being said, it’s way too soon to be taking the NXT Championship off of Dragunov. Ijla seems to be just starting to hit his stride as the champion and I think his reign as the top guy in NXT will continue for at least a few more months to come.

Winner and STILL NXT World Champion: Ilja Dragunov.

NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez

This one can go either way. I like Perez and she was an outstanding talent in ROH. Since coming to NXT, she hasn’t quite found her way as of yet in my opinion. Valkyria is damn good as well, but the character and gimmick kind of throws me off. I have no idea what will happen here, but I’m feeling a title switch in my gut and the gut never lies. Let’s go with that.

Winner and NEW NXT Women’s Champion: Roxanne Perez.

NXT Tag Team Champions Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker vs. Axiom and Nathan Frazer.

I’m enjoying the team of Corbin and Breakker, but isn’t Bron technically a member of the Smackdown roster? With that in mind, I’m sensing a title switch here. I don’t have any desire to see Axiom and Frazer as the champions, but it’s the most logical move. Let’s roll with it.

Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: Axiom & Nathan Frazer.

NXT North American Champion Oba Femi vs. Dijak vs. Josh Briggs.

This one is all about Oba Femi and how the relative newcomer to NXT and professional wrestling does under the biggest spotlight of his career. So far, he’s been doing a great job, but he has two tough opponents who have looked excellent over the past few months either of which would make strong champions. It’s a tough call here. I’m saying new champion.

Winner and NEW NXT North American Champion: Dijak.

Thea Hail, Kelani Jordan, and Fallon Henley vs. Kiana James, Izzi Dame, and Jacy Jayne.

Why is this match even part of the show? I guess it’s an opportunity for all of the women involved to have a match and it’s essentially filler more than anything else. I have no idea of the storyline here or who most of these women are. Let’s go with Kiana, Izzi, and Jacy to win.

Winners: Kiana James, Izzi Dame, and Jacy Jayne.

Joe Gacy vs. Shawn Spears on the Kickoff Show.

I like the Joe Gacy character and he’s a future star just waiting to happen. Spears is back in NXT after a pointless few years working at AEW so he has a few things to prove. This will be a fun match. I think Spears will do his thing and look great, but his primary job here is to help build the new stars and the future of WWE/NXT. Gacy should win.

Winner: Joe Gacy

And there you go. My thoughts and predictions for NXT Stand and Deliver, live on the WWE Network and Peacock on Saturday afternoon. So what do you think?
