I’m Doug, your resident Guiding Light and Party Host. And this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Do you have questions? I have the answers. Are you ready? Let’s roll.
Is Bianca Belair over-pushed and overrated?
Bianca is pushed hard, but she can back it all up in the ring. I hate the character sometimes, and especially that damn bullwhip of a hair extension, but the woman can perform and go in the ring. So, to answer the question, I would say no. She is neither over-pushed nor overrated.
Do you guys think it was the right decision to turn John Cena into a heel and align him with The Rock?
If the number of views online, plus the publicity it’s generated are any indication, it was definitely the right decision. Cena was stale and the build to WrestleMania needed a strong shot in the arm. This heel turn did exactly that.
Wrestling fans are mad because Pat McAfee commented about rude fans and Canada after they booed the National Anthem at Elimination Chamber. Thoughts?
Pat McAfee speaks his mind and to be honest, I don’t blame him for being pissed off. The Canadian fans were rude, and McAfee reacted at the moment. It’s not a big deal and most of the people who are now upset and complaining would have reacted the same way if the American fans were booing the Canadian Anthem. Pat is backtracking now and apologized, but he was right to speak his mind at the Elimination Chamber PLE.
The latest quote from Ric Flair: “John Cena ain’t taking nothing from Cody Rhodes. If I have to fight through security, I will.” Thoughts?
Ric is just being Ric and talking to be talking, hoping for someone to pay him attention. Nothing more.
Eddie Kingston versus Sheamus. Who wins?
It’d be a good brawl, but in the end, Sheamus would kick Kingston’s face in, as he should.
Imagine how big of a star MJF would be right now had he jumped ship during the “bidding war” and had John Cena’s WWE Chamber role this year. Just a thought.
Regardless of whether MJF was in WWE or not, he wouldn’t have the Cena role or be the main event of WrestleMania 41, aligned with The Rock. MJF would be a top guy and in a good role, but he’s not John Cena in the eyes of the WWE and he never will be.
Pete Rosenberg & Robert Stone have been announced as the commentary team for WWE Evolve. Thoughts?
I don’t really picture Rosenberg as a wrestling announcer, but I do like Stone as a manager and a character. I’ll wait and see how they do before passing judgment.
Should Dutch Mantell be in the WWE Hall of Fame?
No explanation is needed. YES!
What are your thoughts on Nia Jax?
Nia has improved quite a bit since her previous run with the company. Where she was clumsy before and often hurt her opponents, now she seems to be too safe and cautious sometimes. But her skills have gotten better and she’s growing on me as a character. She’s no Asuka or Rhea Ripley, but she’s an excellent heel and seems to have found her role.
After what happened at WWE Elimination Chamber last night with John Cena, what is your bold prediction of what will AEW and Tony Khan do at AEW Revolution next week to try to top it?
How to top Cena turning on Cody and joining up with the Rock? What can Tony Khan and AEW do? Something big and shocking. How about Dustin Rhodes turning on Cope after Cope beats Mox and wins the AEW World Championship? Dustin kicks Cope in the nuts, shattered dreams, and this allows Christian Cage to cash in his contract. And then Dustin joins The Patriarchy, looking for a new father figure with the new champion, Christian. Why the hell not? It’s the first scenario I could think of.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects, and I’ll see you at the matches.
