Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Dutch Mantell recently referred to John Laurinaitis as a “backstabbing bastard” and predicted that the Janel Grant case will probably end up being settled for $50,000,000. Thoughts?

What can I add to that? Dutch is 100% right. And Johnny Ace? He’s now Judas Ace, as he deserves to be.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, The Good Brothers, recently commented that they were fired from WWE because of their age. Do you think they’re right?

Neither man was being used. They did a few matches in NXT, but aside from that, they were sitting at home, or in Catering, getting paid for doing nothing. I’m a fan of The Good Brothers, and they’re a damn good team, but there are many stars on the roster who are older than they are. This just seems that they’re jumping on the anti-TKO bandwagon and making excuses.

Vince Russo constantly says that he has no interest in wrestling, but wants a conversation with Tony Khan. So, what would they be talking about?

Maybe they’d talk about Marks trying to run a business. Maybe they’d talk about people with few qualifications running a wrestling company. Maybe they’ll just talk about how to bury a talent and destroy a career in six months or less. I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Jonathan Coachman recently said that he feels Triple H will be forced out of WWE within the next 18 months. Thoughts?

As ruthless and tight on money, as TKO seems to be, I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see Triple H replaced. If TKO thinks that they can find someone to do the same job, but would cost less and be loyal to TKO, they’d probably snatch them up. I hate to admit it, but Coach may be right.

Do you think WWE will regret letting R-Truth go? Where do you see him fitting in next—TNA, AEW, or somewhere totally new?

I think they’re already having regrets, and are now trying to backpedal and save face, trying to sweep this all under the rug. Truth will be fine and do well, regardless of wherever he shows up or works next. AEW would be the most money, but I don’t see Truth as being that vindictive or burning the bridge with WWE that cleanly. In my opinion, TNA is the most likely option.

Do you think Triple H is holding LA Knight back? Or is there another reason behind his inconsistent push?

LA Knight isn’t being held back. He’s just not that good. Knight is a talented wrestler and entertaining, but WWE has a very stacked roster right now and he’s lucky to get any push that he does get. Don’t blame Triple H. It’s just a side-effect of how loaded the roster is right now with top talent.

Would WWE buying TNA be a game-changer—or is the partnership better off staying separate?

Keep them separate, please. WWE buying TNA would kill everything that WWE has that makes it stand out and feel special. The partnership they currently have works. If WWE and TKO bought TNA, it’d just just another branch of the company, nothing more.

Do you think Vince McMahon is preparing to launch a new empire—or is this just the final act of a billionaire walking away?

Vince has too much money and too much free time and is just acting accordingly. A new McMahon empire? I can’t see that happening.

What do you think about Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA and Robert Stone’s support of her? Do you believe in second chances?

Tessa has been the ultimate professional since her return to TNA. Yes, she has earned a second chance and seems to be making the very best of it. Good for her.

Do you think WWE should give Kevin Owens an on-screen role if he is unable to ever return to the company?

They did it for Big E, so why not KO? Owens has proven that he’s a good communicator and able to work as a commentator or announcer as needed. If Nick Aldis was to return to the ring, Owens would make a good GM for SmackDown. Or hell, use him as a liaison between RAW, Smackdown, NXT, AAA, TNA, and Evolve. If Owens can’t wrestle, find him a role. I’m sure he’d excel at anything he’s asked to do.
