The catch-up game continues. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and I’m your Guiding Light. Let’s do this.

Mercedes Mone is All Eilte. Thoughts on her AEW debut on Dynamite this past week?

Can you tell how far behind I am? Mercedes’ debut was a week ago and I’m just getting to this. My thoughts? The promo felt forced and had no energy about it and her appearance later, getting involved in the Willow versus Riho main event, wasn’t much either. It’s a rough start and the ratings back me up. I wasn’t impressed.

Do you think AEW or WWE currently has the better roster?

AEW has a great roster but doesn’t seem to know what to do with all the talent under contract. I have to go with WWE on this one. More experienced and used far better.

Mr. Wrestling II versus Alberto Del Rio. Who wins?

I’d go with Wrestling II for this one. Del Rio is a good wrestler, but II had that explosive knee lift and was the overall better in-ring performer.

Thoughts on WWE signing a promotional deal with Logan Paul’s PRIME energy drink?

It’s going to make them plenty of money and that’s essentially all that matters. It’s a good business deal that benefits both WWE and PRIME. Good for them.

Brock Lesnar versus Mike Tyson in a MMA fight. Who wins?

Tyson is a dangerous man and has the power to take out anyone, even Brock if he gets in the right shots. But that being said, Brock is more the complete package and if he can get close to Tyson and tie him up, he’d find the way to win. I’ll go with Brock on this one.

What was the worst wrestling gimmick in the history of the business?

So many come to mind, but Bastion Booger stands out above all of them. It was truly insulting and sickening.

So with Vince fully gone from wrestling, does HHH try his hand at reviving the Cruiserweight division again? I had such high hopes watching the Cruiserweight Classic, but as soon as they took the division to the main roster it felt off.

I would like to see the Cruiserweights have the spotlight again and be a featured part of the WWE. They have so many talents who are so good, but essentially wasted in their current roles. I’m hoping that WWE and Triple H do bring it back at some point down the road. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

According to Eric Bischoff, Eddie Kingston doesn’t have “It”. Thoughts?

What can I say? Bischoff is right. Kingston does nothing for me and belongs on some Indy show opening in front of twenty people at best instead of being on TV. He’s just not that good.

Would you be surprised if Vince McMahon started a new wrestling promotion to rival WWE?

I would be surprised because honestly, who would come to work with him? What TV sponsors would sign up and partner with him? With the recent scandals, Vince is not going to find anyone to partner or work with him, regardless of his billions of dollars. I’m sure there are some no-compete deals in his paperwork with the sale of WWE to TKO. It’s not going to happen.

Fabulous Moolah versus Timeless Toni Storm. Who wins?

I like the Timeless character, but Moolah, in her prime, was the real deal and a true heel in every sense of the word. Moolah would give Toni lessons in both wrestling and life. Moolah wins.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Questions, comments, and thoughts are welcome and appreciated. With that, let’s wrap this up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll be back later as the game of catch-up continues. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
