It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Who from NJPW do you want to see challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door?

I don’t follow New Japan all that much except for when the wrestlers from NJPW show up in AEW and I’m forced to research to find out who they are and why I should care. That being said, how about IWGP Champion Jon Moxley in a title versus title match with the AEW Champion versus the IWGP Champion? That sounds like a good time to me.

Dave Meltzer has awarded Will Ospreay vs Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty 6.5 stars. Thoughts?

I think that Meltzer must have been incredibly under the influence of something while watching this event. It was a good match for sure, but 6.5 stars? Really?

Who is on your ECW Mt. Rushmore?

Right off the top of my head, I’d say, Paul Heyman, Shane Douglas, Raven, and Tommy Dreamer.

Kevin Nash versus The Sandman. Who wins?

This one goes to Big Sexy Kevin Nash. It would be an absolute stinker of a match, but I can’t see Nash agreeing to do the job.

Where is Dr. Britt Baker, DDS?

According to AEW, she’s still on the injured list and is waiting to be medically cleared for a return, but I’ve heard rumors and speculation that she’s just staying busy working her other job, running her Dentist practice, and waiting for either AEW Creative to give her something to do or else for her contract to expire, whatever comes first.

Thoughts on Blackjack Mulligan?

The big man from Eagle Pass, Texas. A true legend who was one of the top stars of the 70s and 80s in the AWA, Texas, Crockett, and the WWF. Mulligan could stand toe to toe with anyone and was an excellent brawler, but his biggest talent was the ability to talk and tell a story. Mulligan could cut a promo and talk fans into the arena like few others. If Mulligan was on the show, the fans knew that they would see a wild match and have a great time. His feud with Ric Flair, known as ‘The Hat versus The Robe’ is still spoken of today, almost fifty years later. Mulligan was a true legend and one of the best of not only his era but of all time. His legacy continues to this day with sons Barry & Kendall Windham, son-in-law Mike Rotundo, and grandsons Bray Wyatt (RIP) and Bo Dallas.

Should AEW officially cancel Rampage and just keep Dynamite and Collision as their main two shows?

Warner Brothers Discovery pays AEW money for three shows and seems to want three shows so I don’t think AEW has much choice in the matter. I think they need to keep the show and keep getting every bit of money they can.

Thunder Rosa versus Molly Holly. Who wins?

This could be a good match. Unlike the majority of the AEW Women’s roster, Rosa is actually a good wrestler who knows how to have a match and tell a story. And Molly? She’s not a WWE Hall of Famer for nothing, right? I’d give this one to Rosa, but she’d have to work hard to get that win.

R-Truth versus Enzo Amore. Who wins?

The promos and build for this would be hilarious and awesome. The match? Probably “Eh!” at best. It would be entertaining though. I think Enzo would probably be the one to pick up the victory here.

TNA Rebellion only had 500 buys. Thoughts?

That is a scary number for TNA. They have good shows and never fail to entertain, but that’s an awful number. The people at Anthem can’t be happy. I guess TNA just needs to focus on keeping their product strong and maybe build on promotion a little more while hoping for the best.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
