Let’s play catch-up and talk a little bit about the world’s greatest athletic presentation, professional wrestling. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Which full-time member of the Smackdown roster should get a shot at Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam?
If you’re asking about full-time, that rules out John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and The Rock. It also takes Daniel Bryan out of the picture. So who does that leave? Edge is a good choice, but it looks as if he and Roman will be starting their program at Money In The Bank, and by the time SummerSlam comes around, it would be kind of old news and have been there/done that. So I’ll go with the easy answer. How about Seth Rollins? That would be my choice.
Thoughts on Rhea Ripley?
A tough lady with an impressive background who WWE doesn’t seem to quite have a grasp on how to use correctly yet. She has the potential to be a big star for the company, but instead is getting the push/stop/push treatment and seems to be taking the backseat to Charlotte even though Rhea is the current RAW Women’s Champion. She has a big future ahead of her and it’ll be interesting to see how her career in WWE develops.
Do you think EDGE would have been as awesome as he was if he didn’t steal Lita from Matt Hardy?
I think Edge would still have been a top guy and a big star for WWE regardless of his loyalty as a friend to Matt, but this incident did take him to the next level and put him over in a manner that would normally have taken far longer to achieve. It wasn’t necessary to make him a legit top guy, but it didn’t hurt either.
Thoughts on Super Humman?
He’s a moron and an idiot and if his supporters really cared, they’d step in and stop this jackass from deliberately trying to injure himself and doing stupid stunts just to be a YouTube star.
Should Kenny Omega win the NWA World Championship as part of his “belt collector” character?
I can see it happening and it would make sense. I’d hate to see Nick Aldis lose the title just to put Omega over, but if a deal could be worked out that would benefit the NWA and help that company as well as help Omega and AEW, I wouldn’t object too much.
Does Virgil belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
I would say yes. We all know he’s infamous for being a tightwad and cheap and charging fans for fake pictures and all of that stuff, but he was an important character in the development of the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and is an important part of the WWF history. He might not be a great person, but he made his mark in wrestling in a memorable and important fashion and should be recognized for that if nothing else.
Alberto Del Rio said recently that he’s “sorry for his mistakes” and is willing to return to the WWE. Should WWE hire him back?
There is no way in hell that WWE should ever allow Del Rio back into a WWE event or ring, not for any reason. He’s bad news with a capital “B”. WWE, and pro wrestling in general, need to stay as far away from this ass-clown as possible. He’s not worth the trouble.
And there you go. Any comments, thoughts, or questions, feel free and drop me a line. My thanks for reading. Until the next time, stay safe and be good. I’ll see you at the matches.
