Well, I was feeling pretty good and all geared up to write a new edition of A Day of Dougie, but then my family came home. My mood is now shot to hell. I need to do something to relax. I’m washing clothes. I’m cooking chili. And I’m going to talk about the King of Sports, Professional Wrestling. And if none of this works, I’m going to ride down to the lake. But let’s try the wrestling thing first. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

To be honest, would you be excited to see The Rock face off against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania? If they do face off, who should win?

The Rock versus Roman would be an excellent match and fun to see so yes, if WWE can make it happen, I’d be excited to see it. And who should win? The Rock will only be there for one night at best so Roman should be the man to take that trip to the pay window.

In a bar fight at their peaks, Harley Race versus Haku versus Brock Lesnar, who wins?

So far as the fight goes, I think Barbarian described a potential fight between Brock and Haku like this. If there are any kind of rules, Brock would win. If it’s anything goes, Haku would win. And if this situation happened, Harley would win. Now let me tell you why. Harley was always packing and if either Brock or Haku came at him ready to kill, he’d just shoot them. No one can ever say that Harley wasn’t a smart man. He couldn’t match them physically so just put a hole in them instead. Harley wins.

Thoughts on Thunderbolt Patterson?

He spoke like a country minister in a black church. His promos were total nonsense and his matches were even worse. And he played the race card quite often to get booked. And despite all of that, in Georgia and the Carolinas anyhow, he always drew and made money. Patterson is a guy who could only exist in the world of professional wrestling. I was never a fan, but I did enjoy his partnership and eventual feuds with Ole Anderson. For someone who was allegedly a racist, Ole seemed to like Thunderbolt quite a bit. A very unique personality and person who knew how to make money and draw fans. ‘Nuff said!

Besides Ric Flair & Harley Race, Who’s The Best NWA World Heavyweight Champion?

I was going to say Matt Cardona, but I don’t need the headaches and arguments, although admittingly, I think he was excellent during his brief run with the ten pounds of gold. The best champion aside from Flair or Race? I’d go with Jack Brisco.

Would you like to see Ronda Rousey versus Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania?

Ronda versus Rhea? I think that could be a really good match. So if we don’t get Ronda versus Asuka or Ronda versus Baszler, then Ronda versus Rhea should be it. Book it, Hunter.

What do you think of Kevin Nash’s questioning as to why isn’t Demolition already in the WWE Hall of Fame? Is Nash right?

Nash is absolutely right on this one. Demolition belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame and should have been inducted long ago. I understand that there were personal issues between Bill Eadie (Ax) and Vince McMahon, but that stuff shouldn’t matter. Demolition made WWE a lot of money and had a fantastic career. They belong in the WWE Hall of Fame, period. Hopefully, Triple H will rectify this huge oversight when he decides on the inductions for the Class of 2023. And don’t forget Ivan Koloff and the Midnight Express. They should be there as well.

Do you think Logan Paul will capture a World Championship in WWE, in the future?

I don’t think so, but after everything he’s shown in the past year in the few matches he has had, I wouldn’t bet against him for anything. Never say never, right?

When the Bloodline inevitably turns on Sami Zayn, what do you think the odds are that Jey is the one to come to Sami’s defense setting up a tag match between Jimmy and Solo vs. Jey and Sami?

That would be cool and they may even tease something like that for a couple of weeks, but if a match is booked as you’ve described, I think that it would only result in Sami getting the beatdown by all three Uso brothers. Of course, then Kevin Owens could make the save, and that would lead to the tag team title match with the Usos versus Owens & Zayn at Mania. Sounds like a plan to me.

I know the talk of a women’s tag title in AEW has been done, but In all seriousness, from a viewer’s perspective, what is the point of women doing tag matches currently if there is no division or title for them? I love TayJay, but what’s their goal storyline-wise without a belt?

AEW does not need ANY more titles added to the already bloated title picture. I get what you’re saying and if there weren’t already 1,374 other titles in AEW, I’d agree about a tag team title for the women being needed, but right now, it would be even more ignored and more badly booked than the Women’s Tag Team Championship over at WWE, and we all see how ignored and forgotten those belts have been. So maybe later, but for now, they can wrestle in tag matches just to be wrestling in tag matches. No other reasons are needed.

If they announced Anarchy in the Arena tomorrow for Winter is Coming and left the booking to you; who are your teams?

Hell, I’m not even sure who is on the AEW roster right now, who is injured, and who is aligned with who. But that being said, I’ll still give this a shot. It’s a five-on-five match if I remember correctly, so let’s go with The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks), Hangman Adam Page, and Powerhouse Hobbs versus Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Ricky Starks, card subject to change of course.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here. I need to throw clothes in the dryer and my chili is through so it’s time to sample and see how it tastes. Until the next time, take care and be well my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
