It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your party host and Guiding Light, but you can just call me Doug. Let’s roll.

Did you like CM Punk giving Jim Cornette a shout-out on WWE Raw?

I thought it was pretty cool to set the internet on fire and have a little fun at the same time. It’s a definite sign that Vince McMahon isn’t the boss anymore.

When you think of AEW who is the first person that you think of?

Tony Khan. He’s the owner and face of AEW and with his antics on Twitter, appearances at media events, and constant time in the spotlight, he overshadows any wrestlers or events that are a part of his company. It’s not All Elite Wrestling. It’s the Tony Khan show and everyone else is just an extra.

Rhea Ripley has named her Mount Rushmore of female WWE stars: Herself, Bianca, Becky, and Charlotte. Thoughts?

She kept it current and I can’t argue with any of her choices with the current WWE Women’s roster. I would make an argument for Asuka, but still, no complaints.

Who is going to be the host for WrestleMania?

Has there even been any kind of announcement about a host this year? I haven’t heard anything. But I have heard that WWE has spoken with John Cena and Steve Austin, so maybe? It’d be a good way to make sure that they’re at the shows just in case they’re needed for anything else.

Bugsy McGraw versus Jon Moxley. Who wins?

I remember seeing Busy wrestle a couple of times when I was a teenager, as part of the House of Humperdink in Hump’s feud with Jimmy Valiant. The dude was crazy but impressive. And Moxley? Well, he’s Moxley. He can be good when he wants to be, but it seems to me at least that during the past couple of years, he’s just going through the motions and has deteriorated a great deal in the ring. He doesn’t care so long as he hits his spots and gets to bleed. Mox would win, but I’d still be pulling for Bugsy in this one.

Would Becky and Seth be needle movers for AEW?

If Tony Khan could get them, then yes, they would be big stars for AEW and most likely would draw some numbers for the AEW product. I can’t see either of them leaving WWE though.

Did Alberto Del Rio ruin his wrestling legacy?

I could say, “What legacy?”, but Del Rio had a good career going for a while before it all seemed to fall apart. As for the reasons why, Del Rio has no one to blame but himself. Actions have consequences and karma can be an absolute bitch at times.

With WWE going to Netflix, do you think the PG restriction will be lifted?

It seemingly already has to a point, so yes, when WWE makes the move to Netflix, I expect more of a realistic, TV-14 product.

Seth Rollins versus MJF. Who wins?

This would be a fun match to see happen and who knows? Eventually, we might see it happen. Most likely, it would be a non-finish for the match with a DQ or count-out ending, but if we had to have a winner, I think Maxwell would win with some sneaky cheating tactics.

Between the Kickoff Shows and the actual shows, Wrestlemania will run over twelve hours this year. Is that too much?

I’m already dreading it and it is way too much to watch at one time. Then, when you factor in Smackdown on Friday night, RAW on Monday night, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and the NXT PLE too, we’re talking about twenty-two hours over four days. It’s going to be rough to try and catch all of it, but I’ll definitely be trying. Too much? Yes. But does that matter? I don’t think so.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Tony Khan on Twitter and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
