It’s Sunday evening. I just realized that I haven’t written or updated this thing for several days, four of them actually. And knowing how easily I get distracted, it’ll probably be several more days before I finish this. I have no patience.

As this proves. Now, it’s Monday afternoon. Let’s try this again. I’m pissed. And not for everything I spoke about in the last post. No, this is all on Walmart. I decided to do a delivery order this morning. Restock my Sunny D, Jello, and a few cans of peaches. Don’t forget the microwavable Chinese food. It turned out to be a nice-sized order. 47 items. They delivered the order. I received 22 things. No frozen stuff. No drinks. No jello. 25 items are missing and not delivered. Even for that shithole of a place, that is amazing incompetence. I’m not feeling great, so I didn’t catch it when they dropped the stuff off. As soon as I started actually putting stuff up and taking count, I immediately took notice. Damn, what the fuck.

I immediately go online to process a refund for the stuff I didn’t get, and guess what? I have to call this in since there are so many things missing. I call, and guess what? I got an AI representative. I tried to talk to the robot, but it was a disaster. I cussed it out. As I may have mentioned earlier, I have no patience. So, they switched me to a live representative, who barely speaks English. That wasn’t much better. After over twenty minutes of repeat this, say what?, and what the hell do you want, we got it worked out, and my refund is being processed. I still don’t have my groceries, though, and I hate that damn place. I have to use them since I’m not driving or leaving the house anymore, and it’s the necessary evil, convenience thing, but I really do hate that damn place. Moving on.

Sorry if my last post was too much for some people. As I’ve explained before, I won’t lie to those who read my site. What you get is raw, unfiltered Dougie, the good and the bad. It’s cheaper than therapy, and I say what I feel. It’s not always pretty, but it’s real. And to quote Malcolm in the Middle, life isn’t fair. I’m going through the hardest things in my life right now, and I feel angry, frustrated, hurt, and very, very alone. I want it all to end, but I’m not as on the edge as I was a few weeks ago. I’m trying to be more positive.

Speaking of Malcolm in the Middle, I watched the reboot a couple of nights ago. I was never a big fan, but when I did watch, I liked the show. It was entertaining, made me laugh, and I liked the characters and absurdity. It wasn’t a must-see for me, but I appreciated it. And this? It’s okay. If you were a fan, it’s a nice catch-up with the family. There were some entertaining spots, but it wasn’t great. If you want to kill some time and chuckle a little bit, go for it and give it a watch, but if you’re looking for someone to really impact your mind, take a pass. Just saying. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. It was somewhere in the middle, which I guess is somewhat appropriate. Life isn’t fair.

I decided to give the dipshits another chance. I want my frozen Chinese and root beer. I just placed another order of everything they missed on the first try, plus bananas. It’ll supposedly be here by 9. Let’s see how this goes.

I also rewatched the South Park movie a few nights ago. That one still makes me laugh. And I still knew all the words to all the songs. Long live Terrance & Phillip. Blame Canada. ‘Nuff said.

I almost forgot. This was WrestleMania weekend. I didn’t watch, although I did follow the shows online, and then watched the highlights on YouTube. Good stuff, but I didn’t miss anything. I’m not paying those insane prices and subscribing to sites I’ll never watch for just one thing—no, thank you.

Do you know how many jobs you’ve had? I actually sat for a while this morning and tried to remember every job I’ve had. I think I remember them all, but the order of when I’ve worked them is a little less clear.
Some are far less memorable than others. If I remember correctly, my work history goes as follows: Eno Bar-BQ, Sinclair Building Center, Roses, Jimmy’s Seafood House, Convenient Food Mart, Charlotte Observer, Express Mart, Mac’s Mini Mart, Nic’s Pic Kwik, Burger King, Quick Stop, Dairy Mart, Servco, Kangaroo, Murphy USA, Nic’s Pic Kwik, H&L Sweepstakes, and Scotland County ABC Store. And in between all of that, I wrote for and contributed to The Wrestling Informer, PWInsider, The Wrestling Headquarters, PWBTS, and Wrestle-Zone.UK, and now my site, DougMaynard.com. Over 10,000 posts and columns. Not too shabby. I don’t think the actual job order is correct, but it’s close enough.

Walmart made the delivery, the latter one, and everything was there, as it should be. The woman delivering and her son, who was helping, were very nice. And guess what? They unloaded the stuff, began to pull out of the driveway, and then pulled back in. The boy came running up to the door with one more bag. Jello. They had missed a bag, noticed it, and brought it to me. That was surprising, but great service. So, the second time around, a good deal. That first time, earlier today, still sucks.

I bought a fan for my room. My old one died a while ago, and I’d just endured the hot, stale, uncomfortable room for many months. I finally got a fan. My room is now constantly freezing. I love it. I may not have anyone here to talk to, hang out with, confide in, or spend any time that matters with, but at least I have a cold bedroom and can sleep well.

And I’ve written enough for now. Suffice it to say, as I wrap up, I’m feeling better than I was. And I need a friend. I’ll see you next time.
