WWE Fast Lane Predictions: February 21, 2016

We are just hours away from the WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view broadcast and of course, that means it’s time for a few predictions. Let’s just jump right to it, shall we?

Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns: Winner to challenge Triple H for WWE World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania 32

I don’t think we’ll have Brock winning because it’s been done before. I look for Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family to get involved in some way and take Brock out of the match. Roman seems to be the man that WWE wants to push and use, but Roman versus HHH just feel right to me. Not as the main event of the largest show of the year anyhow. So I’m going for the one who’s the most over with the fans, the true underdog of the WWE and the modern day version of “Dirty” Dick Slater… the so-called “Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. Ambrose versus HHH would be the most fresh match, the most exciting match and the one that would most likely make myself and the rest of the WWE Universe want to tune in at Wrestlemania in Dallas. So for me, Brock gets taken out by the Wyatt Family and Roman gets taken out by his “brother” Dean Ambrose.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

WWE Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler

I like Dolph, but we’re headed into the biggest event of the year and Owens needs to go in looking as strong as possible. That means not only beat Dolph, but totally destroy him. I think that’s exactly what he’ll do.

Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Kevin Owens

WWE Divas champion Charlotte vs. Brie Bella

Just like Kevin Owens, I think that Charlotte needs to be kept as strong as possible as Wrestlemania approaches. Brie is a good performer, but she’s not in the same league as Charlotte, Becky, Sasha, etc and it shows. Look for the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair to cause a distraction and for Charlotte to emulate her father and steal a cheap win. Brie will control most of the match and look good, but in the end, Charlotte walks away a winner and does it with a little extra Flair. Wooo!

Winner and STILL Divas Champion: Charlotte

Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks vs. Naomi & Tamina

As good as Naomi and Tamina are, this is the era of the NXT women and Becky and Sasha are going to be kept strong as they lead into Wrestlemania and try to decide who, if not both, will face Charlotte at the big show. It’s Sasha and Becky all the way here.

Winners: Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

AJ is the new kid and the future for the WWE. Jericho is part time and it doesn’t matter if he wins or loses. I think the Miz will get involved at some point during this match and we’ll have a no-contest, thus setting up a triple threat match with Jericho, Styles and Miz at Wrestlemania XXXII. Sounds like a plan to me.

No Contest – No Winner Due To Miz Interference

The Cutting Edge Peep Show with WWE Tag Team champions The New Day

Edge and Christian are there to promote their new material for the WWE Network. The New Day are there to be funny and entertaining, but I’m surprised that they’re not wrestling. I have a feeling that before this segment is over though, it will turn into an impromptu match. I would love to see the Social Outcasts come out and verbally joust with the Masters of the Unicorn Booty. I think that’s my prediction here. The Outcasts come out and end up challenging the New Day. The New Day wins the match, but we are all entertained and the Outcasts look good, and thus, everybody wins. Woo-hoo!

WWE United States champion Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio: Best of Three Falls (Kickoff Broadcast)

And we have an old-school 2 out of 3 falls match for the United States Championship opening up the show. I’m still not sure exactly what they’re planning on doing with Kalisto, but I think they’ll go with him and give him the push for a little while longer here. So Kalisto wins one fall, Del Rio wins the next and there’s a DQ for the third fall when the League of Nations gets involved, thus Kalisto wins 2 out of 3 and retains the gold. And there you go.

Winner of 2 falls to 1 and STILL WWE United States Champion: Kalisto

And there you go with my predictions for WWE Fast Lane. I’m Doug and thank you for reading. Have a great night.
