Greetings and how the hell are you? It’s time once again to do that Fact or Fiction thing, the wrestling edition. As per the usual, the statements and questions come from the pages of 411mania.com/wrestling. And the rest of it, that’s all just me. Let’s do this.

1. Brock Lesnar winning back the Universal Title was the right call.

FACT: As boring and stale as the thought of Brock as the Universal Champion might be, it’s still far better than having Braun Strowman as the champ. Braun is stale and not ready to be the top dog of the RAW brand. He was over, but they did that stupid ass heel turn when he was getting over as a face and then, in a move that makes even less sense, he’s a face again. And no one cares. Well, I don’t anyways. As soon as Braun started shouting out about people getting “these hands” all the time, I lost all interest in him. So Brock gets the belt until someone else is ready to step up and be the man. We get Paul Heyman regularly now and that’s always a good thing. Brock now and then maybe McIntyre next. Braun though? Forget about it!

2. What is your excitement level for NXT Takeover War Games?

Probably an 8 out of 10. I don’t follow NXT as closely as I should, but I know that NXT Takeover: War Games, is going to be awesome. NXT shows never fail to deliver and with the War Games match, Ciampa versus The Dream, Gargano versus Black and maybe a rematch between Shayna versus Kairi to top things off, I have no doubt that this one will deliver as well.

3. You expect Triple H back in time to have a match at WrestleMania.

FACT: It’ll be cutting it close, but I can’t see HHH letting Wrestlemania pass by without trying to have a match if at all possible. HHH tore a pec and he’s not a young man anymore so he won’t be healing as fast as a younger man (or John Cena) might, but Wrestlemania is a special event and since HHH doesn’t wrestle very often anymore anyways, I think he’ll find a way to get into the ring and do something, even if it’s just something short and mostly smoke and mirrors. Hunter will be at Wrestlemania. So will HBK, Taker and Kane. Maybe a rematch? I don’t know, but we’ll have something featuring HHH. That’s almost a certainty

4. Smackdown will come out as the winner at this year’s Survivor Series event.

FACT: Smackdown seems to be the brand that is more about team unity and brand pride than RAW is so I’ll go with Smackdown winning. There are more ways to go with the ego-maniac and so-called “Best In The World” if he has a win under his belt and something to brag about. Maybe we’ll even see him call out another guy who used the tag of “Best In The World” and we can get a big return in time for Wrestlemania. Actually, I just prefer the Smackdown roster (for the most part) over the RAW roster so I’m going with them.

5. The AOP winning the tag titles on Raw was the right call.

FACT: The titles are now in the hands of a real and legit tag team so that’s definitely a good thing. I would have preferred to see The B-Team or The Revival as the champs, but that’s just my personal preference. So long as the titles are with a true team and not just two top guys to push a story line in a direction it doesn’t need to go in, I’m cool with it.

6. What is your excitement level for WWE Survivor Series?

Probably a 7 out of 10, but that’s just because it’s the Survivor Series and almost always delivers. I hate this whole “one time a year where RAW and Smackdown go head to head” tag line because it’s old and boring and has been used many, many times. This should be a good show and I’m sure that it’ll deliver. There have been too many events as of late so they’re all kind of running together in my head. I’m hoping that the show is better than the build so far though. I’m sure it will be. AJ versus Brock should be interesting and the traditional Survivor Series matches should be fun as well.

And then you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts and any questions are welcome. And I’m not feeling this so I apologize if it’s not up to standards. I think I’m going to bed. Have a great night and take care. I’ll talk at you later.

By the way, coming soon is “10 Days Of Dougie”. Look for it.
