Welcome to the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. The sounds of Sammy Davis Jr. are in the air as I type this and I’m feeling in a mellow kind of mood. This should be an interesting read. The questions are from Kevin C. and Jackson. And the answers, they’re groovy and from me. Let’s do this…

Which legendary wrestler would you want to deliver your graduation commencement speech?

This one is a no-brainer. Woooooooooo! The Nature Boy, Ric Flair is the obvious choice.

If 2020 was a wrestler, who would it be?

The Shockmaster was the first name that came to mind.

Would you like to see Eric Bischoff join AEW?

Nope. I like Eric and enjoy seeing him as part of the world of professional wrestling, but I can’t see any reason for him to be in AEW. He’s not needed as an “authority figure” and while he could be a big help in improving the production values, there are others who could do it just as well. I think Eric’s days as a television character for a wrestling promotion are, with the exception of maybe a one-shot, are over.

It appears that Sting’s WWE deal is over. Where should he go next?

Wherever he wants to. I can see him doing something with AEW and playing on his history with Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, but Sting is big enough that even if it’s a non-wrestling capacity, any company would be glad to have him.

Did the right people win Money In The Bank?

Asuka was definitely the right one to win the Women’s match. As for Otis, he would not have been my choice, but I guess he’s better than Corbin or Rey.

Thoughts on Mike Tyson coming to AEW?

Tyson has just enough name recognition left to make an impact and draw a few old-school fans to AEW. I doubt that Vince McMahon is happy, but WWE hasn’t used Tyson in years for anything and Tyson needs to make a living so good for him. I think AEW made a good move and it’s good publicity for both them and Tyson.

Do you think Paul Heyman will follow up on the Food Fight incident at Money In The Bank and have Brock exact revenge on the men for their part in his humiliation?

It would be funny to see a pissed off Brock Lesnar come back to WWE TV to go after Otis, Daniel Bryan, Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, Baron Corbin, and AJ Styles. There could be some great matches and great TV. But I doubt that Brock cares that these men made Heyman look foolish. I doubt that WWE will ever even bring it up again or mention that match. Better to say nothing and hope that fans forget that match ever happened.

Are you happy to see the Iiconics back on WWE TV?

I guess so. They’re good wrestlers and a good tag team, probably the only strong “regular” tag team in the Women’s Division now that Asuka is back as a singles champion and won’t be teaming quite as regularly with Kairi Sane. Alexa and Nikki are good as the champs, but they need competition and the Iiconics are the best choices right now. Well, at least until Carmella finds a regular partner and decides to challenge for the belts.

Nia Jax versus Awesome Kong. Who wins?

Awesome Kong, period. Nia has a look, but Kong can wrestle and perform in that ring and have great matches. Always bet on the Welfare Queen.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, questions, or thoughts to share, drop me a line. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you on the flip side.
