Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Zelina Vega, Brock Lesnar, Legend’s House & More
September 23, 2020
My internet service seems to be going off and on so let’s make this fast while we’re in the “On” mode. Spectrum sucks! It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this…
Who is the real Intercontinental Champion?
Jeff Hardy has the belt, but AJStyles claims that Jeff cheated to win the belt. And we have Sami Zayn who also has an Intercontinental Championship title belt due to that he was the champion and never lost the title, choosing instead to take a sabbatical during the pandemic crisis. So three men are laying claim to the title. AJ lost the belt to Hardy so I personally don’t think he has a claim, but he’s AJ Styles so what do I know. Hardy won the belt from AJ and Sami kept his title with him during his leave of absence so they are the two men with valid arguments. I’d say Sami is the champ, but I guess that’s why we’re having a match on Sunday to determine who the real champ truly is. My money is still on Sami though.
Are you excited to see Zelina Vega return to in-ring action full time?
I’m happy for her since she’s a good wrestler, but I actually would prefer to see her stay with Andrade and Angel Garza as their manager. As a wrestler, she’s one of many, but in her role as a manager, something she does extremely well, she stands out and is more valued, at least in my mind. So I’m glad she’s able to wrestle and get some ring-time, but I hope she chooses to remain in a managerial role as well. She’s too good to give it up entirely.
What do you think will happen with Paul Heyman & Roman Reigns when Brock Lesnar returns to WWE?
Either Paul will turn on Roman and rejoin Brock as his advocate or else we’ll have a new Dangerous Alliance with Brock on RAW and Roman on Smackdown as the “Counsel” to Roman and the occasional alliance between the two champions. That would be my favorite possibility.
Will Brock Lesnar be back in WWE in time for Wrestlemania?
If you could book two War Games matches – WWE RAW versus AEW and WWE Smackdown versus Impact Wrestling, who would be on each team and who would win each match?
For RAW versus AEW, I’d have Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Keith Lee & Bobby Lashley take on Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevera, Cody, Jon Moxley & Brodie Lee. For Smackdown versus Impact, I’d have Roman, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, The Miz & John Morrison take on Eric Young, The Good Brothers (Gallows & Anderson), Sami Callihan & Eddie Edwards. AEW would beat RAW and Smackdown would beat Impact.
Who has the best chance of getting into the WWE Hall of Fame first? Chris Benoit, Marty Janetty, or Nailz?
Benoit isn’t going into the WWE Hall of Fame ever. Marty Janetty actually had a good shot until this most recent stunt where he started talking about killing a guy when he was a kid. And Nailz? He tried to beat up Vince and accused Vince of sexual assault so he’s not going in. I think Jannetty could go in under a “Midnight Rockers” induction, maybe under the Legacy deal so he wouldn’t be able to give a speech or have to appear. He has the best shot, but it’s still not very likely.
If WWE was to bring back Legend’s House for the WWE Network, who would you pick to participate and take part in the series?
Right now, my picks would be Mark Henry, Ivory, Madusa, Santino Marella, Ron Simmons, Lex Luger, Larry Zbyszko & Sable.
Thoughts on Jey Uso getting a singles push by WWE?
Why not? He’s a good wrestler, a good talker, and has far more going for him than just another tag-team guy. It’s thinking outside the box, which is rare for WWE. I like it.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you’d like to see answered, feel free to drop me a line. Until the next time, take care of yourself, stay safe, and stay away from the crazies. I’ll see you at the matches.
