Dedicated to the memory of Mr. Shane Haney. May you find the peace you seek. You will be missed, my friend. Rest in Peace.

It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Kevin:
What did you think of the Chuck & Billy angle?

Surprisingly, I was into it at the time. I was a fan of Chuck Palumbo from his WCW days and who didn’t like Billy Gunn. It was actually well written for the time and although the “Commitment Ceremony” was kind of hokey, watching Eric Bischoff reveal himself as the “Minister” and the attack on Chuck, Billy, and Stephanie by Three Minute Warning was incredible. And this angle introduced us to Rico, who was one of the most under-rated performers of that era. I think WWE kind of got cold feet towards the end of the angle, but overall, it was pretty cool to watch and I enjoyed most of it.

Cheese:
Is Chris Jericho the GOAT of 21rst century professional wrestling?

I don’t know if he’s the GOAT or not, but if he isn’t, he’s still pretty damn close. The ability to stay relevant and constantly reinvent himself is a skill that Jericho has mastered. He works hard and is one of the smartest guys of his generation. That’s something that is indisputable.

Are you glad to see Xavier Woods back in action?

I am. Woods is my favorite of the three men who comprise the New Day and I’ve been a fan of his since his TNA days as Consequences Creed. I’m very happy to see him back in action.

If there was a Tri-Wrestler Tournament (think Harry Potter) between the three top wrestlers, men & women, in AEW, WWE, and Impact Wrestling, who would you choose to represent each company? And who would win?

For the men, I would have Eric Young representing Impact, Roman Reigns for the WWE, and Cody in for AEW. And I would pick Young to win. As for the women, Asuka would be there for WWE, Taya Valkyrie for Impact Wrestling and Nyla Rose for AEW. And the winner would be the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka.

Murphy:
Now that GLOW has been canceled, do you think Awesome Kong will return to wrestling full time? If so, where would you like to see her go?

I would rather see Kia Stevens go after movie and TV roles in Hollywood. During her three seasons with GLOW, playing the Welfare Queen, she proved time and time again that she’s a skilled actor and can do an excellent job in front of that camera. But if she does return to wrestling full time, I think she’s already under contract to AEW. She’s listed on their roster. I’d rather see her (as Kharma) have a run with WWE though. The money would be better and I want to see her against Asuka, Charlotte, Baszler, and maybe even Nia Jax. Let her give Nia a wrestling lesson. I’d prefer to see her being a Hollywood star, but if she does go back inside that ring, the WWE is where she needs to be.

Should AEW bring in Baby Doll to be Tully Blanchard’s assistant?

Somewhere down the road, I’d love to see it. It makes sense that Tully, as a manager now, would bring in his “Perfect Ten” to help keep his crew in line. And AEW seems to like doing cameo spots with legends anyhow and Nikla Roberts certainly would qualify.

Thoughts on Lars Sullivan being back on Smackdown?

I’m not sure what I think about it yet. Lars didn’t really make a good impression the first time around, but hopefully, he’ll have a better run of it this time. I’m withholding my opinion until we see what he can do and how things go.

Who hits the best dropkick in all of professional wrestling?

Dolph Ziggler has a great dropkick and if I recall correctly, Rocky Johnson had a damn good one as well. Jim Brunzell & Greg Gagne had a great double-dropkick that they did as the High Flyers. But the best, on a consistent basis, to me anyhow, belongs to Randy Orton.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you’d like to ask about wrestling or anything really, just drop me a line here at the site.
