12 (Dougie) Days Of Christmas – Day 2
Bed Bugs, MAGA & Christmas Trees
December 11, 2020
It’s the second day and second edition of the epic blog series, Twelve (Dougie) Days of Christmas. My true love gave to me, at least according to the classic Christmas song, all sorts of stuff although to be honest, I ain’t seen nothing. But I am giving this to you, my real true loves, twelve days of A Day Of Dougie. Top this Santa Claus. Twelve days in a row of ranting, raving and remembering about whatever topics are pulled forth from the Magic Bag. This is my Christmas present to you. Yes, I realize that money or liquor would be more practical, but we’re on a budget here. Anyhow, let’s get busy for number 2. Where is the Magic Bag at?
And now, we reach into the Magic Bag, and here is what we have. We have Bed Bugs, MAGA & Christmas Trees. It’s going to be a weird one. Let’s do this…
I don’t really want to think about or write about bed bugs this early in the morning. Oy vey! So what are bed bugs? The guy or girl who won’t leave? If that was only the case. They’re small parasites that feed on human blood and can often be found in an unclean environment such as motel rooms, dirty homes, and back alleys where the hookers hang out. They leave rashes and come out at night. Damn, they do sound like hookers, don’t they? Well, the main hooker I know works day and night. We call her “Daytime”. But that’s not important right now. We’re talking about bed bugs. You don’t want them so don’t get them. Keep your environment clean. Change sheets and bed linens repeatedly. Don’t stay in the cheap motels and if you do, use plenty of disinfectants and spray the place down and don’t get under the sheets or on the bed. I carry a blanket to put over the bed before using it and then make sure to take it and wash it immediately when I go back home. Just be careful and if you feel itchy and scratchy after being somewhere you shouldn’t have been, wash all clothing immediately in very hot temperatures, get a good and hot shower cleaning everything and everywhere and drink a cold beer. That last one might not affect the bed bugs, but you’ll feel better. Hell, drink two or ten and then you probably won’t care. Anyhow, this topic is making me feel all weird and scratchy. Let’s move on.
It stands for the phrase “Make America Great Again”, but the problem with that is that America has never been not great. We’ve had some rough times and some periods of total dipshits being in charge of everything, but throughout it all, America, the United States, has consistently been and continues to be the greatest country on earth. I admit that I do fear for our future at times as the looney-toons gain power and try to oppress the American people and spirit, killing the American Dream in their quests to gain power and control, but our country will survive and will endure. We’re not perfect and there are problems and issues everywhere that need to be addressed and solved, but the bottom line is if you don’t love it, leave it and you’ll wish you were back here again. The United States is the greatest country on earth and some of the best people and despite the brainwashing and indoctrination of the socialist left and so-called progressive portions of the country, it will always be so. Make America great again. It’s already great. We just need to open our eyes to see and appreciate it.
What can I write about Christmas trees that I haven’t already spoken of in earlier blogs and Days of Dougie pieces? Use the link below and you can hear all about the real-life Charlie Brown Christmas tree I had back in 1991 when I lived in Glen Acres. You’ll also hear about the awesome live tree that Jack Carter and I had when living in Briarwood Apartments in 1988. So what’s left? How about those cakes by Little Debbie that are shaped like small Christmas trees? I like them and they’re delicious. And I might get me one when I stop at the store on the way to work this morning. A Little Debbie snack cake and a Diet Dew for breakfast. That sounds like a plan and that’s probably what I’ll do.
And with that, I think I’m done here for today. My thanks for reading and I hope that you’re enjoying this blog series. I’ll be back tomorrow with Part 3 and some other stuff as well. Comments, questions, and any other stray thoughts are welcome and appreciated. I hope that everyone has a Happy Holiday and that Santa brings you everything you desire. Take care and I’ll see you on the flip side. Merry Christmas.
