So are you ready to talk about the world’s greatest form of entertainment? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A and it all starts right now. Let’s do this.
Who are your top five Shawn Michaels dream opponents?
Shawn Michaels, in his prime, was a phenomenal performer who could, as the old cliche goes, have a five-star match with a broom. He was definitely the Ric Flair of his era. As for five dream opponents that, so far as I know, HBK never faced, but it would have been an instant classic if he had, I would go with Dusty Rhodes, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, The Great Muta, and “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko.
If Macho Man Randy Savage was still alive do you think he would appear on AEW?
If the money was right, I would think that Savage would be open to offers and ideas from Tony Khan and his promotion, maybe to work as a guest announcer or maybe a special referee. He would if he could and it would be awesome. Dig it!
Is WWE using Chad Gable right?
An Olympic athlete, but rarely used and then mostly as comedy relief with Otis. I get it that he’s on the smaller side, but the man can work and work very well. This Alpha Academy gimmick is better than nothing and at least he’s getting a semi push, but Gable is capable of so much more. I’d like to see him take a run at the Cruiserweight Championship and maybe work the 205/NXT brand. I think he’d excel in that division and could have some outstanding matches. Gable is a good worker, a good talker, and has a pedigree that few can compare with, and all that WWE has to do is just give him ample opportunity and I think Gable could be a major player for WWE for many years to come.
Thoughts on Ernie Roth, aka The Grand Wizard?
A legendary manager for the WWWF and a true wrestling icon. Roth had a great career under the name of Abdullah Faurok as the manager for the original Shiek and then worked for Vince McMahon Sr. under the name “Grand Wizard”. Roth was a great talker who led Superstar Billy Graham to a victory over Bruno Sammartino and the WWWF Championship in 1977. I don’t know much about Roth apart from a few clips on YouTube and what I’ve heard wrestlers like Blackjack Mulligan, Superstar Graham, and Don Muraco say about him, but he was unique and definitely a character who was rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995.
Is Charlotte Flair trying to get fired from WWE?
It sure seems that way, doesn’t it, and with her fiance, Andrade currently competing in AEW, as well as her father temporarily under the dark shadow of sexual misconduct allegations and not welcome at the moment in WWE, it has to be lonely and rough for the multiple-time champion. She realizes that AEW would if she was released from WWE, welcome her with open arms as would almost any wrestling promotion in the world today. It would probably mean a pay cut, but Charlotte has been one of the higher paid talents at WWE for a while so money wouldn’t be much of an issue, and what’s money compared to happiness? But to be honest here, while I think she does have some issues with WWE, it’s nothing that can’t be worked out and the current issues with Becky and Sonya, it’s just a work.
My gut says that Charlotte is WWE to stay and the gut is rarely wrong.
AEW needs a huge heel turn! Who would you like for it to be?
Why does AEW need a heel turn? The roles of most of the AEW talents are fluid enough that it’s hard to tell who are the heels and who are the faces anyhow and no one comes to mind for me right now that would benefit from going from face to heel. But one name that would shock people, get some press, and make a big impact if they were to change is CM Punk. At least maybe then we could get a pipe-bomb or two. That could be fun.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are very welcome. Just give me a shout. Until the next time, take care and stay good. I’ll see you at the matches.
