Tomorrow night on the WWE Network, Peacock, and select pay-per-view providers, it’s the NXT 2.0 WarGames event. It’s the first special event since WWE made the switch from the NXT we all knew and loved to a more Vince-friendly 2.0 edition. It should be mighty interesting to be sure. So here are a few predictions because that’s what I do. Let’s go for it and do this.

WarGames Match: Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight vs. Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, and Grayson Waller

It’s the old-school of NXT taking on the new breed if you will. What is this? WCW and the Millionaires Club versus all the new guys from the Power Plant all over again? Is Vince Russo booking this crap? It’s going to be a spot-heavy match and will be entertaining despite all of my reservations. Bron Breakker, aka the Son of Steiner, is the man that Vince and Brother Love are putting all their money on for the future so he has to come out looking strong. Look for the New Blood to win here.

Winners: Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo & Grayson Waller

WarGames match: Io Shirai, Raquel González, Cora Jade & Kay Lee Ray vs. Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne & Dakota Kai

Eight ladies ready to get all rough, ready, and fight to the max. Unfortunately, I only know about half of them fairly well. My mind is saying that since Mandy Rose came from the main roster, her team should have the advantage. But my gut is saying that Io, Raquel, Cora, and Kay should win. I don’t really have a reason why, but that’s what the gut says. Or maybe that’s just the spicy chicken sandwich I ate earlier? Oh well, let’s go with the gut here.

Winners: Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, Cora Jade & Kay Lee Ray

NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Imperium (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) vs. Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner

From what I understand, O’Reilly’s contract expires next month so the question is, does WWE put the straps on him and Von Wagner to entice him to stay, or does Imperium get some love and the credit they deserve here? I smell a title switch in the works.

Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions: Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner

Roderick Strong vs. Joe Gacy for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship

Gacy is a cool character, but is he a Cruiserweight? I think he may be a little over the limits and need to give Richard Simmons a call. Is Simmons still even alive? Oh yeah, he’s alive, but MIA and hasn’t been seen in years in public. And that has nothing to do with this match. Strong is a damn good performer and why he’s still in NXT and hasn’t jumped ship yet, I have no idea. I’d love to see him lost in the bloated roster at AEW. I think I just answered my own question as to why he’s still there. Look for Strong to overcome the odds and weight difference and retain.

Winner and STILL NXT Cruiserweight Champion: Roderick Strong

Hair vs. Hair Match: Cameron Grimes vs. Duke Hudson

Grimes has credibility and is respected by most of the NXT audience so obviously, we’ll see some Russo-style booking by Brother Love & Vince, and the guy the fans love to hate will be made to look like an idiot. That’s what WWE, at least with those two in charge, does.

Winner: Duke Hudson
