A new year and a new me, but the same-old, same-old, with some great questions from the man, the myth, the legend, the man they call Casper. He likes to ask questions and is available for your Twitter love at @ghostly_host. And me, I just provide the answers because that’s what I do. It’s Questions By Casper and it all starts now.
But first, a shout out and Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Grandma Victoria Maynard. Grandma passed away a few years ago, but she was an amazing woman. Born in 1896, she would be 125 today if she was still living. Some great memories from a great woman. Happy Birthday, Grandma Vick. You are loved and missed.
Do you ever Google people?
All the time. If I think of an old friend or acquaintance, I google them. If I see a name mentioned on Facebook or Twitter, I google them. I don’t need a reason, just a name, and Google, here I come. Google is or friend.
What is your favorite word spelled backward?
“Tsiom”, just because so many people hate that word and get all cringy when they hear it.
How long do you spend looking in the mirror?
As long as needed to confirm that I am still a sexy beast.
Do you remember the very first conversation you had with your spouse?
I don’t have a spouse and never have so this question is unanswerable. But I do, sort of, remember the first conversation this morning. I talked to my cat. I spoke. He meowed. I scratched his head. He purred. I gave him treats. He ate. I pet his head and tell him he’s my baby. He walked away. And there you go.
What is your favorite thing to do on a hot summer day?
Stay inside where it’s cool and chill with my bro and the fam.
What is your favorite season?
I’m definitely a fall guy and no, I’m not talking about the TV show starring Lee Majors as Colt Seaver. I just like the longer nights and cooler weather.
What is your favorite seasoning?
Soul seasoning, cause I’m a white boy and need all the extra flavoring I can get.
What is your favorite grilled food?
A simple man with simple tastes, a good old fashioned steak.
What is the best music?
Whatever suits my mood, placates my soul, soothes the emotions, tweaks my heart, and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my tum tum, that’s the best. It varies from moment to moment.
What is the worst music?
Rap is crap! And anything by Justin Beiber.
What does being a Christian mean to you?
I can’t honestly call myself a Christian because even though I do believe and try to do good in my life, treat people right, stay positive, and do what I’m supposed to do in saying my prayers, etc., I also stretch those rules quite a bit and yeah, I’m a sinner. I’m a lost soul who tries.
How many Crab Rangoon could you eat in one sitting?
None because I don’t like them. I’ve tried them twice, once at a buffet and the other time, a friend fixed them and offered me one to try. Neither time was that great. I’m just not a fan.
What is your favorite thing to ask people when meeting them for the first time?
Either “What was your name again?”, or in my best Joey voice, “How you doing?”.
What’s your preferred audio format?
I love the vinyl. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned record playing, complete with that rough sound from the speakers and the scratches. It’s not all pretty and cleaned up, but it’s good and real.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and stay awesome. I’ll see you at the Tikki Bar.
