It’s Saturday and you know what that means? Tonight, it’s the Royal Rumble. I am actually excited about this event tonight. It’s going to be smoking! But that’s tonight? As for today, it’s all about the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Nick Bockwinkel versus Road Warrior Hawk. Who wins?
It would all come down to if a title is on the line or not. Hawk was pure power personified and had great charisma, but Bockwinkel was as smooth a wrestler as you could ever find and when the term, Ring General, is looked up in the dictionary, there will be pictures of him and Ric Flair as prime examples. Hawk would dominate and Nick would pull shenanigans, resulting in a DQ finish to get out of the match in one piece. Hawk wins by DQ and Nick keeps any title he may be holding.
Sky Bet has Ronda Rousey to win the female Rumble. What do you think of that? They normally are right on predictions.
I think Ronda will be there, will participate in the Rumble match, and at the end, will be declared the winner.
Danhausen is All Eite. Thoughts?
The last time I was asked about Danhausen, I had no idea who he was except for a few cameo shots here and there. Since that time, I’ve seen him interviewed several times and even watched a match between him and Orange Cassidy from a couple of years ago. And now, I get it. He’s a comedy act, pure and simple, and a weird dude and I’m not sure if he can even wrestle, but if AEW can have Cassidy around like a top guy, they can have Danhausen too. I don’t expect him to be in many main event matches or storylines, but he’s there and can be AEW’s version of R-Truth, but in a more creepy sort of manner. I get it now and while I don’t think it adds any kind of credibility to the company, I can see using him as a special attraction and comedy character and he’ll make money for the company as well. I guess that’s really all that matters.
Bad Bunny is rumored to be scheduled to appear as part of the Rumble. Also, Kurt Angle has been spotted in St. Louis. Are you interested in seeing these men are part of the WWE Rumble match?
Angle is more likely there to film content for the Network than actually wrestle in a match, but even if he does have a Rumble spot, that’d be cool to see. He’s a legit legend and a fun character. As for Mr. Bunny, I don’t want to see him in the ring. Yes, he did fine last year at Mania, but that was a one-shot and I wasn’t really a fan. If he’s here to give support and do some managerial-type stuff with Damian Priest, that would be quite okay and probably fun to see.
Another rumor is that Shane McMahon is in St. Louis to participate in the Rumble match. Thoughts?
I hope not. I understand that WWE has to set Shane up for a big match at either The Elimination Chamber or Mania, because that’s what WWE does, but I don’t want to see Shane wrestle or climb into that ring. Not at Mania, The Chamber, or tonight.
Who is more likely to show up as a surprise at the Rumble match? The Rock, John Cena, or Steve Austin?
Of the three, probably John Cena, but to be honest, the one I’d pop the most for is Steve Austin. Seeing the Rock would be awesome because that most likely would be setting the stage for Rock versus Roman at Mania. I just want to see a good old-fashioned Austin beer bash to close the show. I honestly don’t think we’ll see any of these men tonight, but Eric Bischoff has been spotted in town so maybe we’ll just have to settle for him instead.
Who Is The Best Pro Wrestler To Come Out Of The NFL?
There have been quite a few such as Blackjack Mulligan, Ernie Ladd, Brian Pillman, Monty Brown, Steve “Mongo ” McMichael, Ron Simmons, Bill Goldberg, etc. But the best, in my opinion, is a pretty easy call. Wahoo McDaniel. ‘Nuff said!
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and I’ll see you tonight at the Royal Rumble.
