Are you ready? Let’s talk pro wrestling. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A and it all starts now. Let’s do this.
With the AEW roster getting bigger and no ROH tv coming, yet, would it be a good idea to make Rampage a 2-hour show?
It might be a good idea, but that’s not AEW’s call. It’s up to officials with TBS and TNT and given the fact that the ratings for Rampage have been falling as they have been, I really can’t see AEW getting more TV time at the moment. The best thing as I see it would be to continue to try and get a television deal for ROH as a separate product and then take it from there. More time on TNT or TBS would be great, but I just don’t see it happening.
Do you see Forbidden Door as being an annual event? And if so would you like to see them do a brand vs brand elimination match featuring some big names?
I’d like to see this become a regular event, but with a twist. This year, it’s AEW and New Japan working together. Next year, add AAA or CMLL to the mix. The year after, do a joint card with the NWA or Impact Wrestling. Maybe after that, a card with MLW or GCW. Keep it fresh and interesting. As for a brand versus brand elimination match goes, so long as it’s good wrestlers and a good match, I’d definitely be all for it.
On the fraction of a chance that it isn’t Cesaro, who do you think Danielson’s replacement is? I was thinking Timothy Thatcher, but do you guys think he’s too small of a name for how they’ve built it up? Another name I was thinking of in the back of my head was maybe Chris Hero?
I don’t see it being Chris Hero. I think Timothy Thatcher would be a big let-down for the AEW fans if he was to be Danielson’s chosen replacement. He’s definitely talented enough and I’d love to see Thatcher show up in either AEW or Impact and make his presence felt. I’d love to see Thatcher go up against Buddy Murphy. That would be a great match. But back to being Danielson’s replacement. Cesaro is the best choice and I truly hope it is him. Anyone else is going to let a lot of people down.
What horrifying flavor of ice cream would Vince McMahon share with John Laurinaitis?
Paralegal Blend. Maybe Hoochie-Berry? I don’t know what flavor actually that the Genetic Jackhammer and The People Power guy would share, but I do know it’s pretty damn expensive.
AEW Vs WWE in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match. Who makes the respective teams?
For AEW, I’d have Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Sammy Guevera versus Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens.
So with Bryan Danielson announcing there will be a new Blackpool Combat Club member, any chance it’s the BEST IN THE WORLD SHANE O’MAC?
No, there is no chance. No chance in hell!
If you were WWE creative and you had to make a brand new star in light of the mass injuries plaguing wrestling at the moment, which superstar would you push for? I’d say push Gunther or Ciampa.
Gunther is definitely one of the guys I’d be pushing hard. Riddle would get a strong push as well, and Bobby Roode would get more opportunities as well to be, dare I say it, Glorious!
Who’s your favorite woman wrestler currently and of all time?
Currently, it’s WWE’s Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka. And of all time, anyone who had been around me for a while already knows. Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory.
Rick Steamboat versus Eddie Guerrero. Who wins?
With both men in their primes, no offense to Eddie, but this would be Steamboat’s match to win or lose. He was that damn good. Steamboat wins.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good. Don’t forget about AEW Forbidden Door tonight on PPV. I’ll see you at the matches.
