Greetings friends. I’m back and ready to talk about some pro wrestling. The questions have been piling up so this may be a long one, but I’ll try and keep the answers short and pithy unless I don’t. Bear with me, Peeps. So are you ready? I said, ARE YOU READY? Then for the hundreds reading, and the thousands that should be, but are annoyed at me for being a slack-ass, let’s get ready to Q&A it! It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

And by the way Happy 86th Birthday to my Mom, Evelyn B. Rushin. She’s awesome and don’t you forget it! Now let’s rock!

Is the best way for Jade Cargill to move on from the TBS championship and challenge for AEW Women’s Championship to just let Nyla Rose keep the belt and not care?

I would think a short program with Nyla and Jade would be the way to go and then, after Nyla retains, Jade can then move on and focus on the AEW Women’s title instead. It wouldn’t be in character to just walk away from trying to get the belt back and even though AEW doesn’t really care about staying in character, I do. And there you go.

If you could choose the members of a Wyatt 6 faction, what 5 wrestlers would join Bray Wyatt? And you can’t use wrestlers currently employed by WWE.

A Wyatt Six faction using Bray and five other characters not currently under a WWE deal? That makes it tricky because I would insist on Bo Dallas being part of the group and I’m not sure if he’s actually signed the paperwork to return to the company yet or not. We’ll assume he hasn’t so the first pick would be Bo. And the other four? Curtis Axel, Chris Masters, The Sinister Minister James Mitchell, and from Impact Wrestling, Rosemary.

Could you see Papa H at WrestleMania 39 with Rey and Dominick doing a father vs son match with Rey’s career on the line?

Rey versus Dominick and if Dom wins, then Rey must retire? That sounds like a Wrestlemania main event match to me. Book it, Triple H.

Who is the most currently underrated wrestler that should be a title holder by the end of next year?

For the WWE, I’ll go with Austin Theory. He was getting the strong push from Vince, but HHH doesn’t seem as strong on him for some reason. The man has all the tools though and will be a big star for the WWE in the years to come. So let’s go with Mr. Money In The Bank.

Melina, Mickie James, Beth Phoenix & Michelle McCool versus Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch. Who wins?

As much as I like 3/4 of the legends team, it would be the WWE’s Four Horsewomen who would win and take the victory here as it should be.

If AEW can’t get a separate tv deal for ROH, do they need to unify the championships?

I would say so, yes. AEW has far too many titles floating around and between the AEW belts, the ROH belts, the NEW Japan, and AAA belts that are acknowledged, and Taz’s FTW title that Hook currently owns, it’s very confusing. If ROH has its own TV, own PPV events, and is run as a separate but equal company, then the many different belts are tolerable (just barely), but as it is now, something definitely needs to change.

Do you think Tony Khan will be less reliant on The Elite now that it’s been shown that ratings are better than ever even though they aren’t on the show?

I hope that Tony is smart enough to open his eyes and see this, and he seems to be with both Jericho and Moxley signing new deals that include backstage duties. The Elite is more excess baggage for AEW than having any positive roles at this point. AEW doesn’t need them or Punk and is better off with that crowd out of the picture.

What are the odds that WWE does a bait and switch and the White Rabbit ends up being Bo Dallas and he is controlling Bray?

The idea is that Bray made the mistake of Bolieving and Bo took advantage. Sounds good to me.

Imagine if Sami was a double agent working for Bray this whole time. Thoughts?

While that would be an interesting spin on things, I don’t think Sami needs to be aligned with or part of the Wyatt group or stories. Let’s just wait for the inevitable turn by the Bloodline on Sami and then the fallout as he and Kevin Owens take those tag team belts away from the Usos. That works better in my mind.

When the third-party investigation is all said and done, should CM Punk release a T-Shirt to make money from his “I’m hurt, I’m old, I’m tired, and I work with Children” line?

If he does, I’ll be buying one and wearing it proudly. That would be a fantastic shirt to own.

Lou Albano, Freddie Blassie & The Grand Wizard were known as the “Three Wise Men of Wrestling”. Who would be the “Three Wise Men” of today’s professional wrestling product?

The art of managers in professional wrestling is a dying one although they seem to be making a comeback. Most of the best managers I know don’t manage anymore and are doing other things like podcasting and working behind the scenes. But still active, working managers who are good enough and talented enough to be on the level of the men you mentioned? Let’s go with Paul Heyman, MVP, and Zelina Vega.

Dick Slater & Bob Orton Jr. versus The Good Brothers. Who wins?

As good as Gallows & Anderson are, Slater & Orton would take this one.

Larry Zbyszko & Greg Valentine versus The New Day. Who wins?

Did Zbyszko & Valentine ever work together as a team and partners? I don’t think so, but it would make for a seriously good team, just slow and methodical in beating their opponents down. But they’re not a regular team so I’d have to go with the Power of Positivity here. The New Day wins.

So it looks like JBL is now associated with Baron Corbin. Thoughts?

It sounds like an interesting combination and team and could be very effective in getting Corbin over and taking him to the next level. I’m excited to see where this goes.

Imagine seeing Kenny Omega vs Jerry Lynn in ECW. That would have been insane!

No, it wouldn’t have been because Jerry Lynn is/was twenty times the wrestler that Omega claims to be and would have to carry him to make it a great match. And Lynn would have won of course.

If you had to guess who’s back first – The Elite or CM Punk, where are you betting your money?

If it was my call, I’d just tell Tony to fire all of them and be done with it. I’m a Punk guy, but he was out of line and unprofessional with that whole rant at the Media Scum. And then with The Bucks & Omega allegedly knocking on his locker room door and confronting him, they were way out of line as well. If any of them are brought back, then Khan is making a mistake and sending the wrong message to his locker room. Punk has that injury thing going on so he has much longer before he would be able to come back. I think we’ll see Omega back first and then maybe the Bucks. I don’t think we’ll ever see Punk in an AEW ring again.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And I guess that’s all for now. Until the next time, which hopefully won’t be so long, take care of yourself and be safe. Watch out for the foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
