Over on YouTube on the Jim Cornette podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, the esteemed wrestling historian and legend, Mr. Jim Cornette, along with co-host Brian Last, took a very detailed look at the entire roster of All Elite Wrestling. They went down the entire AEW roster and made comments on each member of the roster and if Jim, if given the book at AEW, would keep or dismiss each AEW talent. It was a very insightful and interesting listen and you should go check it out.
And it got me wondering. I’m no Jim Cornette, but I’ve been told I’m a good judge of talent and have a good mind for the business. If I was to take a look down the line at the AEW roster and each talent, what would I do with them? Keep them? Fire them? Teach them how to fry chicken? Well, there is only one way to find out. So I did exactly that. I did four columns over the past few days and dissected the talents that are AEW. Be sure to check that out.
But why stop there? AEW may be in the books, but what about the WWE? What about the talents that wrestle every Monday and Friday night for the world’s largest wrestling promotion? Who would I, if given the choice, keep on the main roster? Who would be sent back to Developmental or given one of those “We wish you best in future endeavors” moments? Well, we’re preparing to find out. It starts now with the roster of Monday Night RAW. I did the Men’s roster already. Now let’s take on the women. And as Triple H would say, “Are you ready?”. Let’s do this.
WWE RAW: The Women
Alexa Bliss: A good look, a good worker, and sells a lot of merchandise. Miss Bliss is very safe.
Asuka: No one is ready for Asuka. She kicks ass. She’s safe.
Bayley: Another solid worker who always goes above and beyond. Very safe.
Becky Lynch: Becky is one of the most popular performers in the WWE, plus she’s married to Seth Rollins. She’s safe.
Bianca Belair: Just the physical power of Bianca is impressive enough, but she’s also charismatic and has become a very strong worker. Safe.
Candice LeRae: I’m sorry, but I just don’t get her. She’s not a bad worker, but aside from being Gargano’s wife, what does she bring to the table? She’s sexy, but she’s missing a step from her days in NXT in my opinion. I’d keep her to keep Gargano happy, but aside from that, on her own merits, she’d be gone.
Carmella: Mella is money. ‘Nuff said! I’d keep her. She’s safe.
Dakota Kai: Again, like LeRae, she does nothing for me and I’m not impressed. She’s a good worker though and the fans seem to like her so she’s safe for now. She’s just not my cup of Jack D.
Dana Brooke: A solid worker and impressive physical power. She’ll never be a main eventer in my opinion, but she’s a good person to keep around. She’s safe.
Doudrop: She needs to change her name back to Piper Niven, but aside from that, Doudrop is a good performer, not bad on the mic, and has a unique look. She’s safe.
Iyo Sky: She’s no Asuka, but she’s a solid worker and as part of Damage CNTRL, I like her. She’s safe.
Mia Yim: A good worker and it’s going to be fun to see what she and Rhea can do to each other in the months to come. A keeper for sure.
Nikki Cross: If she was still the Superhero in Training character, I’d have her out the door so fast, even Marty Janetty would be impressed. But as herself, as the semi-psychopath Nikki Cross, she’s a good character to have around. I’m looking forward to seeing what WWE does with her. She stays.
Rhea Ripley: The absolute best part of The Judgement Day. A keeper for sure.
Tamina: Let’s be honest here. If Tamina wasn’t related to the Samoan Family and a favorite cousin of The Rock’s, she would have been gone a long time ago. She’s got an imposing look, but her actual matches and promos, well, they suck! She only has a job so WWE can keep Dwayne Johnson happy. She’s gone.
And there you go, my analysis of the women of WWE RAW and if they should be kept on the roster or cut loose to explore other options. Coming up next, are the Men of WWE Smackdown, so keep an eye out.
And with that, it’s time to close up shop for a bit. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions are welcome and appreciated. Tell me what you think. I really do want to know. Until the next time, take care and be safe, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
