More of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A? You betcha! Let’s do this.

Don Muraco & Jimmy Snuka versus The Hart Foundation. Who wins?

Muraco & Snuka were a very good tag team in their day, but spent probably as much time feuding as they did team up, depending on what territory they were in at the time and seemingly whatever day of the week it might be. The Hart Foundation was almost always on the same page and has well earned its standing as one of the best tag teams in WWE history. The Hart Foundation wins.

Could one of the big promotions bring back the Bunkhouse Stampede again and make it work?

It could be brought back and would work, but unless it’s for a Dusty Rhodes Tribute Show in NXT, which I could most certainly see, why would anyone bother? It’s a fun nostalgic match and for a special event, would be interesting to see, but it’s old-fashioned and kind of outdated by current standards. I can’t see any company wanting to bring it back for any major event or show.

RANK ALL 3 Members of The Shield FROM THE BEST TO WORST.

From the best to the worst? I think Roman, now that he’s finally found his niche as the Tribal Chief, has really grown and is arguably one of the best in the world today, so he’d be ranked the best in my opinion. Seth is consistently strong, able to constantly evolve and reinvent his character, and never fails to deliver. He’d be Number Two. And Ambrose? He dresses like a plumber and bleeds a lot down in AEW. He’d be the worst in my view.

Is David Otunga still with WWE? Whatever happened to that guy?

I recently saw Otunga playing a character in the She-Hulk show on Disney Plus so it looks as if his main focus these days is acting. His last match as a wrestler was in 2015 and since then, his few appearances for WWE have been as part of the Kickoff Panel before the pay-per-views. He split up from Oscar-Winning Wife Jennifer Hudson in 2o17 and it seems that he has primary custody of their daughter. I can’t remember the last time I actually saw him on a WWE show so my guess is that he’s splitting his time between being a dad and acting. And there you go.

Would you like to see Edge as WWE Champion one last time before he retires in 2023?

Honestly, I don’t think Edge needs or wants it, nor do I think he could physically handle the demands that would bring. Edge had his time and his legacy is secure and safe. If he indeed is to retire in 2023, then he should focus on maybe one or two final matches and then fade into the sunset.

Reports state that WWE could be planning for a ‘Forbidden Door’ entrant into the 2023 Royal Rumble. Are you excited about this?

Not really because what’s new? Past Rumble events have had wrestlers from other promotions such as Carlos Colin, Mil Mascaras, and most recently Mickie James. If it’s someone from New japan or NOAH and no one knows who they are, what’s the point? And if it’s a big name, it’s business as usual. It’s not really a big deal unless it’s an AEW or ROH star. Now that could be exciting, but otherwise, eh!

I was enjoying the Chris Jericho-Action Andretti storyline until they had Andretti win right away. Did that take the air out of the balloon for you too?

It just makes it seem that Jericho had a bad night and the kid got lucky. No big deal. If they wanted to make a big star out of Andretti, they first need to change that name. But the way to build a new star would be to have Jericho win, but have to cheat or use outside help to do so. And have Andretti call him out and demand a rematch. Jericho could win again, but it was harder the second time and he has to cheat ago. And in every match afterward, Andretti gets closer and closer, holding his own against Jericho and making Jericho get more and more desperate to find ways to keep winning. And then finally, one last challenge, preferably at a PPV, and despite taking one hell of a beating, Andretti overcomes the odds and pins Jericho cleanly. That’s how you build and make a star. One quick surprise win doesn’t do anything but make it look like the rookie got lucky, nothing more.

If Vince McMahon returns to WWE, do you see people choosing to leave?

If Vince comes back, I expect many people will be quick to leave, both wrestlers and management. Vince is many things and deserves much credit for the past 40 years, but his time has passed. WWE has gotten far better in my opinion since he was forced to resign and the fans are happier. Backstage morale is said to be much better. The only person I can think of that would be happy to see Vince back in WWE and taking back over would be Tony Khan and AEW. For everyone else, it would be a disaster.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m heading out for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
