It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Logan Paul versus Pat McAfee. Who wins?
This would be a very interesting and fun match to see. Both men have proven to be very talented in that ring despite not being full-time performers and the promos and build for a match like this would be excellent to witness. As for the match, I think Paul would be given the win.
Thoughts on Brock Anderson?
It’s hard to say because we rarely ever get to see him wrestle or talk. I’ve heard some good stuff about Brock, and given who his father is, I expect that he’s probably got some strong potential, but when does he get to use or show it? Brock would be much better off as part of the NXT/Performance Center crowd than wasting his time with AEW. As part of the AEW roster, he’s just lost in the crowd and valuable time where he could be learning and getting better is being wasted. I hope he’s as good as the hype and has a good career, but at this rate, we’ll probably never know for sure.
Who are the first names that come to mind when I say “Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship”?
For me, it’s the team of George Wells and Dewey Robertson. The Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles had some unusual teams as the champions over the years, such as Ox Baker & Carl Fergie, Matt Borne & Buzz Sawyer, Ken Patera & John Studd, etc. Hell, it was Ric Flair’s first title, teaming with the legendary Rip Hawk. A solid regional title with a great history that doesn’t get nearly the respect it deserves.
Kevin Owens has allegedly approached HBK about doing “one last match” and HBK is thinking about it. Would you like to see Owens versus HBK?
Owens versus Michaels? Yeah, that would be pretty damn good to see. Book it, Triple H.
Meltzer is reporting that Sasha Banks was trying to get a salary from WWE that was similar to what Charlotte & Becky Lynch make, but WWE didn’t offer her anything close to those amounts. Thoughts?
They didn’t offer her that kind of money because she isn’t worth it. She’s talented for sure, but she’s also a bit of a spoiled Diva/Brat who has walked out of the company twice now when she didn’t her way. Be rewarded for bad behavior when her best years seem to be behind her? No, I don’t think so.
Now that it’s pretty much confirmed that Sasha won’t be coming back to WWE, where does that leave Naomi? What are her options?
It seems to me that her options are to retire, try to get a deal with AEW or Impact, or eat some crow and come back to WWE to resume her spot as the mid-card jobber girl. And to be honest, she’s not really anything outstanding or special in the ring so while Impact or AEW might hire her, she’d be lowballed so far as money goes and wouldn’t really be any kind of major player for either company. I think her best bet would be to talk to HHH, return to WWE, and hope that she somehow gets added to the Bloodline story due to her marriage.
Action Andretti beat Jericho in AEW? Who is this kid and what’s next for him in AEW?
I’d never heard of this kid before his match against Jericho on Dynamite last week. And what’s next? He’ll get a quick push, last for a couple of months, and then get lost in the shuffle that is AEW, only to become a permanent resident of the YouTube show.
Ric Flair recently stated that Jim Ross has lost “every bit of credibility with him in life” due to comments Ross made on the Dark Side of the Ring episode about the plane ride from hell. Thoughts?
Flair is mad at Ross because J.R. was honest and told the truth about Flair’s behavior and how sometimes, it was best to slip away when Ric started being Ric. Flair is just being Flair and talking to attempt to be relevant and get some press, any kind of press be it good or bad. He doesn’t care. It’s just Flair being Flair, nothing more.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you might have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here for now. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
