Are you ready to go one-on-one with the great one? Well, he’s not here so you just have me instead. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Babyface Adam Cole v MJF? Who wins?

Cole is good, but it’s way too early to take the belt off of MJF. MJF should win here.

If WWE offered Impact & AEW 1 slot each at Mania, what matches would you book? I’d go Mox v Darby & Aiden Prince vs Jordynne Grace.

For Impact Wrestling, I’d go with Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander versus X-Division Champion Trey Miguel. As for AEW, how about MJF versus Darby Allin?

At this point, it’s a scientific fact that you could have Kenny Omega fight anything & get a 5-star match. Kenny Omega vs a bag of hair – 6.25 stars in the Tokyo Dome. If you could have Kenny Omega fight anything real or not what would it be (I’m holding out for Omega vs Optimus Prime)?

Omega can be a good wrestler when he has someone serious and talented to guide him and lead the way in their match. Is he as great as you seem to think? I don’t think so. If I could have Omega fight anyone or anything, I’d keep it simple. Omega versus Harley Race in his prime, or Omega versus Ole Anderson in his prime. Somehow, I don’t think Kenny would look quite as great against either of those two wrestling legends. They would legit slaughter his corny ass.

What’s most likely, WWE being sold to Disney or Universal, and how would it impact the product?

Of the two listed, I think NBC-Universal is the most likely candidate to end up buying WWE. How would it impact the product? Not much at first in my opinion, but I think, much as Time Warner started trying to micromanage WCW after taking over the Turner Networks, we’d eventually see little things coming down from management and changing the product as presented. It would take a while, but it would happen. Maybe less blood. Maybe more woken storylines and content. The changes would be subtle, but they’d be there.

Given the return of McMahon do you think this puts shows in the UK under threat again? The Clash was a success and MITB will be. Hunter gets it. Vince doesn’t.

As you said, the Clash at the Castle was a huge success, and most likely, MITB will be as well. I don’t think Vince will interfere with having shows in the UK so long as they keep being successful and making money. Vince is all about the mighty dollar and so long as those events keep WWE in the black, he won’t change anything.

Who’s your pick to dethrone Gunther for the IC Championship whenever that time comes?

Gunther is a definite star in the making and will be among the mix for the big belts sooner rather than later. Of that, I’m positive. When he eventually loses the IC title, my pick to take him out would be someone like Bron Breakker, making a move to the main roster, or someone established, like Lashley.

By some point in 2023 will Vince McMahon be back as the creative leader?

I hope not, but anything is possible. Vince has promised, so far, to keep his hands off the creative process and concentrate on the sale of the company instead. So long as he’s occupied with that and HHH continues to do a great job, we should be okay.

Seeing how close we were to the news this week, how do you think the sale of WWE in the near future (possibly to Saudi Arabia) would affect the product going forward? Would it affect you personally, as a fan?

If it does go through, it will affect all of us in some way. For me, it’s tightening up my attention span as I start looking for changes, subtle or not, and making comparisons to the past product. That’s the way my mind works when things change at a company, especially one I’ve been invested in for over 30 years.

What are the chances of TK giving CM Punk a high-up position/creative role in Ring of Honor? It would keep him in-house and away from The Elite.

It’s always a possibility, but considering that the only TV that Tony currently has available is AEW, I don’t think it would keep Punk and The Elite apart for long. There would still be some interaction. It couldn’t be avoided. ROH right now is just a paper company with no regular events, no television, and exists in name only. Punk is too big to be wasted there and if he comes back, should be on regular AEW TV and events, where he can draw fans and make the company money. As I said, it’s a possibility that he could be the face of the ROH brand, but not very likely.

With Vince back in charge of the business, who’s more likely to win another world championship, Bill Goldberg, John Cena, or Randy Orton?

Of these three, Orton, if he’s able to return from his back issues, is the one who still has the chance of major titles in the future. Cena is too busy in Hollywood for a full-time schedule and Goldberg? His time is through in my opinion.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here. Stay safe and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects. I’ll see you at the matches.
