Life’s a show and we all play a part. My part is providing answers to your questions about the King of Sports with the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

If you could bring back any 90’s mid-card star, into today’s roster, who would it be and why is it D-Lo Brown?

It wouldn’t be D-Lo for me. But Stevie Richards and Victoria? That’s a whole different story.

Who had the better Rumble run? Mantaur or Mil Mascaras?

Mantaur was eliminated by Lex Luger in the 1995 Royal Rumble after lasting nine minutes. Mil Mascaras was in the 1997 Rumble match and eliminated himself after seven minutes. I’ll give this one to Mantaur. He went out like a man… bull… whatever. Mil looked like an idiot and thinking about it, still does. Mantaur had the better run.

Who was the MVP of the Royal Rumble matches? Men’s and Women’s?

GUNTHER for the Men’s Rumble Match and the Women’s, let’s go with Liv Morgan.

Rhea Ripley was quoted as saying, “I can’t be the next Chyna. I’m the first Rhea Ripley.” Is this disrespectful to Chyna?

Not at all. In the same statement, she spoke of how awesome Chyna was and how Chyna laid the road for women like her. Her comments were all very complimentary and pro-Chyna, as they should be.

Nia Jax is back in the WWE. Thoughts?

They must want The Rock badly. Hopefully, during her time off, Nia has been training and learning how to work without hurting people. If she has done so, then welcome back. And if not, my condolences to the WWE Women’s roster. Hard times are coming.

Doudrop got her name back. She’s Piper Niven again. Thoughts?

I’m glad to see this because Niven is a damn good worker, especially for her size. It was hard to take her seriously with that stupid name, Doudrop. Now it’s her time to shine and show what she’s capable of.

Seth Rollins called CM Punk a “cancer” and says that he needs to “stay away from WWE forever!”. Thoughts?

Seth may have been shooting, but honestly, I think he was just being in character. If Punk does return to WWE at some point, the seeds have been planted for a Rollins/Punk feud, which would be excellent.

Thoughts on Lord Alfred Hayes?

A fantastic wrestler and an even better heel manager. Hayes could piss a crowd off with his comments so well. In the WWE, he was a fair announcer but was seen more as a joke and comedy act than anything else. I’m sure he didn’t care because he was paid well to act the comedy role and he happily took Vince’s money, knowing that in reality, he was a far better performer and wrestler than 95% of the WWE roster at the time. A true legend and iconic figure.

Can Sami Zayn be the face of the WWE?

For the long term, I don’t think so. Sami is a solid worker and good talker and the fans love him right now, but I think his actions and character would get stale quickly after a few months. A short-term transitional champion though? That would work well and he’d be great for that, much like Mick Foley was back in the ’90s.

Ricky Starks was spotted backstage at the Royal Rumble event. Do you think he’ll catch any heat from AEW management for this?

No, I don’t think so. It’s common knowledge that Cody is Stark’s mentor and friend. Starks was just there to support his friend and nothing more. I don’t think Tony Khan cares or is that petty to give Starks any heat? The other EVPs though? Who knows?

Who do you think will be the woman to dethrone Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship in AEW?

My pick would be Ruby Soho. She’s one of the most capable and talented women on the AEW roster and would make an excellent TBS Champion.

Who Wins: Shawn Michaels versus Daniel Bryan?

It really wouldn’t matter because the fans would be the big winners regardless of who got the pinfall victory. But if I have to choose, I’ll go with Bryan Danielson, aka Daniel Bryan.

Who do you guys think was the best pro football player turned pro wrestler? The first guy that comes to my mind is the Big Cat Ernie Ladd. Do you guys have someone better?

Ernie Ladd is a great choice, but what about Steve “Mongo” McMichael? Okay, he sucked as a wrestler, but he was a good Horseman. Other names that come to mind are Lex Luger, Brian Pillman, Blackjack Mulligan, Goldberg, Baron Corbin, Pat McAfee, Ron Simmons, Brock Lesnar, and Angelo “King Kong” Mosca. The best though? How about Wahoo McDaniel?

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that being said, it’s time to wrap this up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
