Are you ready to talk pro wrestling? Well, let me speak on this. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s get busy and do this.

Are you as worried as the rest of us regarding the reports of Vince taking back creative control of WWE?

I will admit to a little trepidation about the possibility of Vince taking control and things going back to the way they were, which sucked rather badly, but I’m trying to stay positive that Vince, being a businessman, will look at the numbers and realize that Triple H has been doing an excellent job and remain in the background, handling corporate responsibilities instead of trying to manage Creative. One can only hope anyhow.

In your heart of hearts, do you think the plan is for Cody to win the title at SummerSlam (maybe via MITB?)?

I hope that Cody does get the WWE Championship at some point and SummerSlam would be a good place to make it happen. I think that it will.

Do you think Triple H will leave the WWE and if so, how soon?

If Triple H does decide to leave the WWE, it won’t happen until the merger with Endeavor is complete and everything has settled into place. From what I’ve heard, Triple H will be getting a 5 million dollar bonus when the deal is signed and the ink drys so he won’t be going anywhere until that check clears the bank.

What was your favorite match of last weekend? Any promotion.

Between the regular TV shows, Mania, ROH, the New Japan/Impact Wrestling event, and then the NWA PPV a few days ago, there have been dozens of matches and quite a few of them were pretty damn good. My favorite though? Let’s go with Rey versus Dom at Mania. That was far better and more fun than it had any right to be and we saw the crowning of a new superstar as Dom held his own and looked great. So Rey versus Dom was the favorite for me.

How would you have ended Wrestlemania Sunday?

Just as WWE did with Roman getting the win and retaining the belt via outside interference. Go back and read my Prediction Column for Night 2 of Mania. I said then that I would like to see WWE pull a swerve and keep the belts on Roman and that’s exactly what they did.

If you had to pick, who do you think should take the title off MJF?

If I could make the call, I’d go with the self-proclaimed King of the Indies, Matt Cardona. Yes, I know he doesn’t work for AEW, but you didn’t specify that they had to be on the AEW roster. And if we’re sticking to the AEW roster, then CM Punk should be the one to take the belt away from Max after he returns and settles things with The Elite. Several months of Punk versus MJF, based on what we saw in their earlier feud, would be awesome.

What are the positives in your opinion on Roman keeping the titles?

It keeps the story going and the biggest question in pro wrestling, the future of The Bloodline, going as well. If Cody had won the belts, then what’s next? Who would challenge him and keep his reign interesting and exciting? He’ll get the belts eventually, but we have plenty of time to do that and plenty of stories left to explore first.

Do you like WM being two nights or prefer it back when it used to be one night?

I prefer the two-night event, sandwiched between Smackdown and RAW. I wish there was some way to give NXT and the Hall of Fame the proper due as well, but I’m not sure how to make that happen as everything is kind of crunched up together. I’d personally move the HOF to another time of year, be it SummerSlam or the Royal Rumble weekends. But back to Mania, two nights are so much easier to watch and enjoy. I hope they keep it this way.

Ted DiBiase will be joining the world of podcasting with a new podcast on Conrad Thompson’s Ad-Free Shows Network called “Everyone’s Got A Pod”. Are you interested in hearing from the Million Dollar Man?

Never has the title for a show been more appropriate. Everybody’s Got A Pod. It sure seems that way, doesn’t it? But I’m happy for the Million Dollar Man and I’m sure he’ll have some great stories to tell.

If you had to pick ten wrestlers, five from the WWE and five from AEW, to play each other on Family Feud, who would be on your two teams?

For the WWE, I’d have Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, The Miz, Bayley, and Bianca as the team. For AEW, I’d go with MJF, Dr. Britt Baker, Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevera, and Tay Melo.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and very appreciated. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
