It’s the only wrestling Q&A that matters, The Best Damn Q&A, Period. Oops! Wrong name. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and I’m your host for the evening. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Should Arn Anderson have a solo induction to the WWE HOF?

This one is a no-brainer in my opinion. Arn Anderson, aka The Enforcer. A member of the Four Horsemen. Multiple tag team titles with numerous partners. Multiple-time World Television Champion when that title meant something. Idolized by millions of fans worldwide and respected by everyone. Absolutely.

Who is the greatest Paul Heyman Guy? Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, or The Big Show?

What? No love for Curtis Axel? I’m shocked! Of the names selected, one name stands above the rest. The Beast, Brock Lesnar.

John Cena said that if/when the SAG-AFTRA strike ends, he will be going back to Hollywood and won’t be able to do WWE as well. Thoughts?

It makes sense because, as Cena stated, insurance liabilities won’t allow him to wrestle if there’s a movie or show revolving around him and one injury could result in hundreds of people out of work and millions of dollars in losses for the studios and movie producers. While a return to WWE has been a nice little fling for Cena, Hollywood is his Mistress now and her requirements must come first.

Ole Anderson versus Gene Anderson. Who wins?

Ole is the mouth and the bluster and the sizzle, but Gene, he was the dangerous one, quiet so you never knew what to expect except for a rough day at the office if you crossed him. It’d be one hell of a match for sure, but Gene would be the one to come out on top in the finish. And I think Ole would agree.

Thoughts on Gentleman Chris Adams?

A fantastic wrestler who pretty much created the superkick as a finisher and deserves far more credit than he gets. In World Class, especially as the partner for Gino Hernandez, Adams was exceptional and set the bar. Unfortunately, he eventually fell victim to his demons, but he was a damn good professional wrestler. Of that, no one can ever deny.

Which AEW Pillar (MJF, Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevera, Darby Allin) has the best wrestling resume?

Of the four original AEW Pillars, the top resume has to go to MJF. He’s a multiple-time World Champion, something no one else has been able to do so far. I would place Darby next, as he’s a multiple-time TNT Champion, plus has a long-term tag team partnership with Sting on his resume as well. Next would be Sammy, who has won titles and had some great matches, but has never quite found that niche’ to take him to the next level. And then there is Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Yeah, he’s last, as he should be. Cry me a river.

Congratulations! You just became a multi-billionaire. You may choose any two wrestlers of all time to be your bodyguards. Who are they?
Remember, they are in their prime!

An easy answer to this one. Brock Lesnar and Meng/Haku. I’d be well protected.

Jim Ross recently commented that he and Ric Flair are no longer friends. Thoughts?

This seems to be a common tale of many of Flair’s old friendships, including with Arn Anderson, Mark Madden, and so many others. Flair lives for the moment, refuses to grow up, and cares only about one thing, Ric Flair. Flair is always up for a party, but if something doesn’t go to his liking, he looks for a scapegoat to throw under the bus. Flair is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, but as a human being, he’s not all that, and the older he gets, the worse he gets. As a wrestler, Flair is 100% a GOAT. As a friend, based on what I’ve seen for the past few years, not so much. Not even close.

Pick your dream faction with a powerhouse, high-flyer, leader, tag team, woman, and manager.

Are we talking about all-time greats or currently active wrestlers? I’ll go with the active talents route. For a powerhouse piece of muscle, how about Bron Breakker? The high-flyer for me would be Sammy Guevera. The leader of the pack would be Nick Aldis. For a tag team, how about Sammy Love & Angel Angels? If you don’t know who these two future superstars are, look them up. They work for Atlantic Coast Wrestling and C.A.G.E., among others on the NC Indy Scene. My female would be Nikki Cross. My manager, to keep control of this grouping, handle the paperwork if you will, and take these talents under the learning tree, would be William Regal.

Impact Wrestling is supposedly bringing back their “Gut Check” segments. Are there any Indy wrestlers you’d recommend to participate and try to become a part of the Impact Wrestling roster?

The two men I mentioned in the previous answer, Sammy Love and Angel Angels, along with Nathan Cross, would be three excellent candidates to do the Impact Wrestling Gut Check. All three are young, talented beyond their years, and have an excellent future ahead of them. Hell, Aaron C.K., formerly known as the Carolina Kidd, would be great for the Gut Check as well. He’s not as young as the others, but his passion and intensity for the business is second to none and he’d surprise a lot of people.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches. Life is fake, wrestling is real, and that is all the people need to know.

Ubuntu!
