Twenty Questions (Part 2 of 3)
May 4, 2017
I found these incredible questions, twenty in all, and decided that they were definitely worth trying to answer. None of these are questions that can be answered with a simple three words or brief answer. They require thought, insight and a little bit of ooomph too. This is Part 2 with Batch #2 of these inquiring wonders of literary genius. Let’s do this…
Who would you most like to sit next to on a 10 hour flight and why?
Since one of my big loves is the fine art that is professional wrestling, I think folks like Ole Anderson, Jim Cornette, Paul Heyman or even good old Vince McMahon himself would be great. Another great person to chat with and get to know would be the great Alice Cooper. And if I was to pick someone a little closer to home and I would love to sit and talk to my late Grandmother, Victoria Maynard. Grandma Vick was an amazing woman and had so many stories to tell from her 100 plus years on this earth. I was too young to appreciate this when I was young and but a child, but now, I would do almost anything for the opportunity to hear her talk and speak with her once more.
What are two things you know you should know how to do but don’t?
Two things that I don’t know how to do, but should? Hmmm… Probably auto repairs would count as one of these things. I can do a few things like check fluids, change tires, etc, but I am not mechanically inclined at all. If I change a light bulb in the house, the microwave at the house next door will probably explode. Yes, I am not of a mechanically inclined nature. And the other thing is make small talk with people. I work in customer service and so long as I’m working in a professional capacity and doing my job, I’m good with talking with people, but when it comes to person to person, in the real world and in real life, face to face, I really do majorly suck when it comes to inter-human communication. Me no talk good with people.
You have $100 to burn, all your friends are busy and you have the whole day to yourself, what do you do?
I write. I sleep. I play on the computer and watch Netflix and YouTube. I just enjoy the day alone and make the best of it. As for the $100, it goes into my wallet and saved for a rainy day. Just because I have money doesn’t mean I have to spend it.
What makes you say “What was I thinking?” when you look back on your life?
The relationships with Pa, Danny, James, etc. The drinking and driving. Moving back to Laurinburg from Wilmington back in 1997. All of the times that I told management figures to “go f*ck themselves”. The list just goes on and on and on. Oh vey!
How useful would you be in a zombie apocalypse? What skills do you have that would help you and others survive?
Well, considering all the hundreds of horror movies I’ve watched over the years, not to mention the thousands of comics, I have a knowledge of how to think outside the box and fight the zombies. I’m good at fishing and camping and know how to make the best and improvise a bad situation so that could be useful as well. And I can drive the getaway car / truck / bus so we can run like hell and get away from those undead bastards. I think I could be far more useful than not in that horrific situation.
What is something you’ve done that you wish you could undo?
Read most of the answers for the “What was I thinking?” question and they could apply just as easily here. But the biggest thing would be that DWI back in 1997. That affected my life the most and had major reprocussions that I’m still dealing with even today, twenty years later. Yes, Wes was cute, but someone else should have taken him home that day to Southern Pines and not me. *sighs*
What inscription do you want on your gravestone?
“I’m not even supposed to be here today!”… ‘Nuff said!
And there you go. Part Two is down and gone and in the books. I’ll be back in the morning with Part Three to finish this up. Have a great night and may the force not trip you up too badly. Love you – mean it.
