Tossing Salt Presents:
Luke Harper, WWE Returns & More
September 13, 2018
It’s time to clean out the old mailbag and do some Q&A of the world’s greatest sport. The questions come from the Facebook group, the KoK and from my buddy Cory. And the answers, that’s me baby! Let’s do this…
Midnight Express (in prime) versus The Revival – who wins?
Two great teams of two different eras, both of who have been widely praised by Jim Cornette again and again. We’d have great matches and lots of fast tags and near falls, but in the end, the result would always be the same. It doesn’t matter if it’s Eaton & Condrey or Eaton & Lane, the determining factor would always end up being the man on the outside with the tennis racket, the already mentioned Jim Cornette. And Cornette’s mama always expects her team to win… and it would. Winners would be the Midnight Express.
Should Luke Harper be given a strong singles push while Erick Rowan is recovering from injury?
That would be nice, but since the WWE roster is currently so crowded and full of top notch talent, I can’t see it happening. Better for Harper, I believe, to be used as they currently are right now and that’s working the NXT events, adding some star power to the rosters and helping the up-and-coming stars of tomorrow learn what the expect when they move up to the big stage.
Should WWE have a “TV Champion”?
A champion that goes back and forth between the two shows, Raw and Smackdown, defending a title twice a week against any and all comers. It could be fun to see and normally, I’d be all for it, but there are too many titles in WWE right now anyhow so I’d say that for now, no more titles are needed and my answer would be no.
If you were told to cut ten people from the WWE roster, who would be terminated?
Let me start this off by saying that I have nothing against the men and women I’ve listed, but they’re pretty much wasted and just taking up space in today’s WWE and it would probably be better for both the WWE and the wrestlers in the long run if they were to decide to go their different ways. My choices would be: Apollo Crews, The Ascension, Zack Ryder, Rhyno, Heath Slater, Gallows & Anderson, Erick Rowan, Dana Brooke, Alicia Fox & Mike Kanellis.
Is Brother Love WWE Hall of Fame worthy?
For his in-ring contributions as Brother Love and for his behind-the-scenes contributions under his real name, he is absolutely deserving of a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
El Gigante versus The Great Khali – who wins?
What a disaster this would be to watch. It’s easy to pick a winner though. While Khali has some wrestling ability, not much but some, Gigante was just big and nothing else. Khali also has law enforcement training and legit took down the Big Show in a backstage incident. Gigante played basketball and not very well at that, but he was better at basketball than he was at wrestling. Khali would take the easy win.
Do you think that any of these past WWE stars will ever return to the WWE? Mr. Kennedy, Ryback, Daivari, Muhammad Hassan, Enzo Amore, Big Cass, Melina, John Morrison, Cody Rhodes, Batista?
Let’s go down the list. Mr. Kennedy – No! Ryback – No! Daivari – Yes (and he already did at the Greatest Royal Rumble). Hassan? I’d love to see it, but not likely. Enzo? Never going to happen. Big Cass? Not likely either. Melina? It might happen at Evolution if Naomi gets her way, but aside from that, nope. Morrison? I think it will happen eventually. Cody? Yes. And finally Batista? I think he’s pissed a few people in WWE power off as of late, but he’s Hollywood now and big money so yes, he’ll be back.
Should WWE make Evolution (the all-woman PPV) an annual event?
If they’re serious about pushing the women so strong, why not? It could be the ladies own personal Wrestlemania.
Shaq versus Big Show? Will if finally happen at Wrestlemania and if so, who wins?
Don’t know and don’t care, but if it does ever eventually happen, Shaq will win because Big Show will be the company man and do the JOB! That’ll suck and I’d love to see Show legit bust Shaq in the face, but alas, we know that won’t happen… damn it!
Should WWE bring back Ken Shamrock?
Shamrock has been making noise about wanting to come back, but my answer would be no. He’s older now, looks terrible and seems to think that he should be the WWE Champion. He’s not that good and I can’t see how he’d be worth the trouble for WWE that he would end up causing.
And that’s all for now. Thanks for reading. Comments, questions and thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and I’ll catch you later.
