Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Sunny, R-Truth, Arn Anderson & More
February 26, 2019
Good morning and Happy Tuesday. Welcome to the show. It’s Q&A time about the world’s greatest sport and today, the questions are from Eric and Jesse. Let’s do this…
Tammy Sytch (Sunny) arrested again. Surprised?
I’m as surprised about Tammy being locked up again as I am about the sun rising in the morning, the price of gas going up, the cats outside wanting food, CNN hating Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton telling a lie and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez making a dumb comment. Tammy Sytch is a sad and sorry excuse for a person with a lot of issues. This time it was DWI and a probation violation. Is anyone really surprised at her screwing up again? Anyone? I didn’t think so.
Thoughts on Bruce Prichard’s return to WWE as Vince’s “second hand man”?
While I’m kind of scared that it may mean the end of the podcast, “Something To Wrestle With”, I’m happy for the former “Brother Love”. He’s back in a spot of power with the largest wrestling company in the world and can help moderate some of Vince’s more crazy moments. Prichard is a smart and talented dude in the area of pro wrestling and having him back in WWE can’t be anything, but good in my opinion.
Would you be interested in listening to an Arn Anderson podcast?
Where one door closes, another opens and if doing a podcast is something that Arn might be interested in, then he should check out the idea and give it a shot. With Bruce Prichard going back to work at WWE, that leaves a big hole in Conrad Thompson’s schedule and as he’s already shown with Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff and Tony Schiavone, Conrad can work a good podcast with almost anyone and Double A is certainly one of the best talkers in the business and knows wrestling and just imagine the stories he has to tell. If I was Arn Anderson, this is definitely something I’d think about looking into.
Are there any Indy companies that you would recommend?
Three off the top of my head and all are local here in the Southeastern NC area. There is Adrenaline Pro Wrestling, from out of Rockingham, NC. APW has a great show on YouTube that I feature here at the site when it’s posted each Sunday and some great talent. Ring Wars Carolina, from Lumberton, NC, is a solid and strong company that has been around for a while, but each year, gets better and better. Great talent and action. And finally, the new (but not really) kid on the block, from the people who brought you American Championship Wrestling for so many years, from Laurinburg, NC, it’s CAGE. CAGE stands for Coastal Atlantic Grappling Entertainment and it’s not just the best pro wrestling in NC, but will feature so much more. They are making their debut at the National Guard Armory in Laurinburg, NC on March 9, 2019 and from what I’ve heard from some of the folks involved in putting this show together, it’s going to be off the charts. I’ll have more information about this upcoming show and the company itself (and the great talent and stars) in the days and weeks to come so check them out and BE THERE!
Are you interested in the Hulk Hogan movie starring Chris Helmsworth?
It’s a movie about an era of wrestling that I remember well and loved and it’s starring an actor that I like so even though there’s that Hogan thing I’m not especially enamored with, I’ll still want to see this when it’s made and comes out.
Who do you think will be the next WWE Superstars to either ask for their release or be fired?
It’s hard to tell with the way that the wrestling scene is changing day to day, but I would keep my eyes on Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, Gallows & Anderson and Shinsuke Nakamura after Wrestlemania and see what they have in their future. I don’t think it’s necessarily WWE.
Should WWE hire Vince Russo as a consultant / advisor?
Vince Russo recently was bitching and complaining because he spoke to Shane McMahon and made an offer to return to WWE in some capacity and Shane seemed to have blown him off and ignored his offer. Should WWE think about bringing Russo back to the company? My opinion would be not only no, but hell no. Russo is toxic and his presence in any way, shape or manner would cause far more problems than it could help fix. They need to keep him as far away from WWE as possible… period!
Does R-Truth belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
A former tag team and Intercontinental Champion and currently the United States Champion. He’s also a former NWA World Champion. And Truth is 50 years old, looks and wrestles like he’s 25 and is one of the most entertaining characters in wrestling today. So absolutely is he Hall of Fame worthy. A big time definite YES to that.
And that’s all for now. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts or questions, give me a shout. Until the next time, take care and have a great one. Love you – mean it and I’ll see you at the matches.
