WWE Hell In A Cell 2019
Thoughts & Predictions
October 6, 2019

Coming up on Sunday night, after a week of crazy schedules, season’s openings, new Networks and the start of the Wednesday Night Wars, WWE wraps up the week with their latest pay-per-view offering, Hell In A Cell. As of this writing, 10:30pm on Saturday night, only four matches have been announced for the event. Did WWE forget that that after RAW, NXT and Smackdown, they have a pay-per-view too? Who knows what is going on in the minds of those in WWE Creative. I’m sure that there will be many more matches announced Sunday morning or during the kickoff show, but alas, my inner Sister Cleo doesn’t have a clue what those matches will be. So let’s just get to the four that have been announced and try to figure out who will win, who will lose and who will remember that it’s their duty to shake their booty. Let’s play fortune teller and talk about the Big 4 for Hell In A Cell…
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt – Hell In A Cell
Bray has been all over Seth on TV for the past few weeks and he has the momentum on his side, but does he need the Universal Championship? I would love to see it happen, but Seth is the man for WWE and makes more sense as the top guy and face of RAW. Can a referee stop a Hell In A Cell match for being too brutal and thus, award the match to Bray while Seth retains the belt? Will Bray reveal new “followers” (like maybe Bo and Axel… I hope) and cause the match to end in a no-contest. I think that Wyatt, as the Fiend, will dominate most of the match. But Seth will find a way to keep the belt.
Winner by Referee Stoppage: Bray Wyatt (Seth retains the title).
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks – Hell In A Cell
Becky just had a big moment and got “the rub” from the Great One on Smackdown Friday night. Sasha has really looked good since making her return to the WWE a few weeks ago, but to be “The Boss”, you have to beat “The Man” and this just isn’t going to happen. Look for a great match and both women will bust their asses and blow the roof off the cage, but in the end, Becky stays champion.
Winner and STILL Raw Women’s Champion: Becky Lynch
WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair
The WWE loves Charlotte Flair, but Bayley has really just started to embrace her inner-heel and is just starting to come into her own as the Smackdown Women’s Champion. I expect a damn good match, but I really don’t want to see a title change here. Charlotte has has enough runs with the belt. It’s Bayley’s time to shine for a bit.
Winner and STILL Smackdown Women’s Champion: Bayley
Roman Reigns & Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan & Luke Harper
You don’t put together two top guys like Roman and Bryan just to lose. But they don’t need to win. Harper and Rowan are hot right now and this break-up from Bryan has really put Rowan on another level. A loss will cut him off at the legs and it will be return to start, don’t pass go and don’t collect $200. There is still some distrust with Roman and Bryan so let’s play on that. Missed moves and Roman accidentially hits Bryan with a Superman punch. Rowan takes advantage and gets the pin on Bryan. And there you go.
Winners: Luke Harper & Erick Rowan.
And that’s all I have so far. So I guess that’s all for now. Thanks for reading. Thoughts, comments and any questions are welcome and appreciated. If any more matches are announced between now and the start of the show tomorrow night, I’ll post some predictions on my Facebook page and may come update it here. No promises though. I may just get drunk instead. We’ll see. So until the next time, I’m down and gone. Take care.
