Thoughts & Predictions

WWE and NXT will present NXT Takeover: WarGames tonight live from Chicago, Illinois. That means prediction time. Let’s do this…
Men’s War Games Match: Undisputed Era (NXT Champion Adam Cole, NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish, NXT Tag Team Champion Kyle O’Reilly, and NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong) versus Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, and Partner To Be Announced
It’s intriguing that that fourth man for Cianpa’s team isn’t known yet. Could it be John Morrison, who has resigned with the WWE, but is sitting in the shadows waiting to make his debut. Maybe it’s Kevin Owens, who was attacked by the Undisputed Era during HHH’s attempted recruitment of Owens earlier this week on RAW. I’m hoping that they will announce that the one who takes out Adam Cole gets a future title opportunity. That should really spark things up a bit. This should be a fantastic and exciting match. If I remember the history of War Games, the heels always lose. Will this match follow the trend? I think it will.
Winners: Ciampa, Lee, Dijakovic and their mystery partner.
Women’s War Games Match: NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, and Bianca Belair versus Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim
This match will make history in more ways than one and might be the best match of the night. These women, all of them, can go and do it all. I’m just going to say since the faces are winning the men’s match, this one will go to the heels. So which team is the heels? Forget about that theory. Baszler has an important date tomorrow night with the women of RAW and Smackdown so I’ll say she’s going to be thinking ahead and not have her mind on business. And if the leader can’t focus, what does that do for her team? The Ripley team takes home the victory.
Winners: Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox & Mia Yim.
Pete Dunne versus Damian Priest versus Killian Dain: Winner Faces Adam Cole for the NXT Championship at Survivor Series
Pete Dunne wins… end of story. I think he’s the best guy to face Adam Cole and have the best match possible. Dain and Priest are damn good, but Dunne already made history as the UK Champion and I think it’s time he started on the path to wear NXT gold once more. So there you go.
Winner: Pete Dunne
Finn Balor versus Matt Riddle
Gargano was pulled from this match and Matt Riddle was recruited and I think this is his chance to really move up to the next level. Balor is amazing beyond belief and just turned heel. Can he afford a loss just yet? Can Riddle afford to take a loss? I think we’ll see a Balor with moves we haven’t seen in a long time and though Riddle will take him to the edge again and again, Balor needs the win more. I think he’ll pull it out in the end and take that trip to the pay window, if you will.
Winner: Finn Balor
That’s all the matches that have been announced thus far and even though I expect WWE / NXT to maybe add one more match for the Kick-Off show, I have no idea what it may or may not be as of yet. This should be a good show from start to finish and I’m looking forward to seeing it happen.
So who do you think will be the winners and losers of the night for NXT? Let me know what you think with your comments, thoughts and any questions either here in the comments section or else by dropping me a line at Doug28352@yahoo.com. I’ll be back on Saturday night with my predictions for the Survivor Series. Until then, stay just too sweet and I’ll see you at the matches.
