Sin Cara, Ric Flair, Sting & More

It’s time to do it again. My thanks to The Cheese for the questions. So are you ready? Let’s do this…
Sin Cara worked an AAA event in Mexico using the Sin Cara name despite not having permission from the WWE. Thoughts?
Sin Cara did work the AAA event and it looks as if he’s going to get away with it this time. I guess all the legalities involved in going after Jorge Arias, aka Sin Cara for his violation of copyright laws and infringing up WWE’s rights to the name would just be too much for any kind of justification. But since that incident happened, where Jorge made a return to AAA in Mexico, he’s announced that he’s changing his wrestling name to Cinta de Oro. So I guess all is now good and the matter is closed. Jorge used the name to make the one return appearance and make an immediate impact and now, he’s moving on to new name and fresh start.
Thoughts on the TLC ppv event?
Though the build was lousy and it was kind of crammed into and lost in the shuffle in a weekend full of big events including pay-per-views by the NWA and ROH, I think the show delivered. It was solid from bell to bell and the wrestlers all busted their asses and put on some tremendous matches. The New Day versus The Revival is well worth going back and watching again and most of the show was solid.
Ric Flair says that he’s been medically cleared. Should WWE allow Flair to take bumps?
Flair is 70 years old and despite what he may claim, there is no way in hell that Flair should ever be allowed to take a bump of any sort or get physical again in a WWE ring. Not now and not ever. Flair may think he wants to and may even be feeling great right now, but after all the medical problems he’s faced over the past few years, it’s not worth taking the risks.
Should Donald Trump be removed from the WWE Hall of Fame?
Donald Trump is the President of the United States and how many wrestling companies can lay claim to having had the President work for their company, fight Vince McMahon, be a part of Wrestlemania and take a stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin? People don’t like Trump’s personality and persona and I get that, but he created some memorable moments in WWE and is STILL our President. Leave him be where he belongs, in the White House and in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Jimmy Uso was found Not Guilty for DWI – should WWE start using the Usos and Naomi again in live shows and on TV?
Now that the matter is cleared up, I expect that we’ll be seeing the return of Jey and Jimmy Uso, as well as Naomi, sooner rather than later. It’s getting ready to go into Wrestlemania season and WWE is going to want all hands on deck, but I think that before the Usos return, they should be given strict warnings about legal issues and to be more careful of their public behavior. And then, bring them back and let the bodies hit the floor.
Sting says that he would be interested in one more match against the Undertaker. Should WWE attempt to make this match happen?
If Sting is willing to do it, then WWE should at least approach Undertaker and see if there’s any interest there. This is one of the few dream matches left and would be a great feature for Wrestlemania and if there is any way to make it happen, then WWE most definitely should.
Edge has signed a new deal with WWE and is rumored to be coming back to the ring. If this is true, who would you like to see him wrestle?
If Edge is coming back, the list of possible opponents is incredible. How about making the return by going after and kicking Baron Corbin’s ass and then there are Seth, Ricochet, Cesaro,AJ Styles and Roman Reigns waiting in the wings. Finding a good opponent for Edge won’t be a problem, but they just need to make sure he’ll be able to physically be up to the task of a WWE schedule first and that his body can handle it. After that, the sky is the limit. And how about a match against “Broken” Matt Hardy for old times sake? I’d love to see it.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, stay safe and have a very Merry Christmas. I’ll see you at the matches.
