It’s time for some of that Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. The questions come from Facebook. The answers come from me. Let’s do this…

Austin:
If they got Rusev to join AEW, what should his gimmick be?

How about an athletic brute of a man who speaks with a foreign accent and kicks ass. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it and what Rusev did in WWE wasn’t broken (except for maybe in the eyes of Vince McMahon). We, the fans, know better. Rusev crush! ‘Nuff said!

Barry:
Barry Horowitz versus Jumping Joey Maggs. Who wins?

Hell, let’s pull a Teddy Long, who happened to be Maggs manager in WCW, in there and make this a tag team match playa. It’s Horowitz and other former WWF jobber Gillberg versus Maggs and Brad Armstrong. And Joey & Armstrong win every time.

Thoughts on The Crippler Ray Stevens?

A true legend far ahead of his time. I only got to see him wrestle in the last years of his career in the Mid-Atlantic region and in the AWA, but for a guy with his body, the truck driver look, he was incredible in that ring. One of the best of all times, period.

Whatever happened to Ralphus? Is he still living? Does he belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

From what I understand, Ralphus passed away a couple of years ago. He made a few appearances after WCW closed down, but pretty much faded into obscurity after the run with Jericho ended. As for the Hall of Fame, he was entertaining as a character, but let’s don’t get crazy. I’m sure that when Jericho finally does go into the Hall of Fame, he’ll give Ralphus a shout out. But that’s probably as close to the Hall of Fame as Jericho’s former bodyguard will ever get.

Deanna:
Thoughts on Colt Cabana?

A good wrestler and good commentator. Colt can perform either in a serious role or do comedy and is entertaining in either capacity. He got the shaft in WWE and deserved far better, but his time since then, in the NWA, ROH and now AEW have hopefully made up for that dark period.

Matt:
What’s your favorite commentary trio/team?

For my younger days, it was Bob Caudle & David Crockett. Those are the voices I grew up with. For more modern times, I have to go with the trio of Schiavone, Zbyszko & Dusty in WCW. Anytime Heenan was around and on the mic, that was certain to be a great time as well.

Demar:
What is your favorite match of all time?

Clash of Champions 4 with The Horsemen (Flair & Windham) versus The Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane). Cornette and James J. Dillon were at ringside as well and the match was everything you’d expect with these six men involved.

And that’s all for now. I have to get off my butt now and go to work. My job as a spiritual advisor awaits. I tell the folks what the good booze is. Any comments, questions, or thoughts to share, drop me a line. Until the next time, take care and stay safe. Just say no to the Corona. Have a great one, don’t forget to support your local Indy wrestling and I’ll catch you on the flip side.
